  5. As a seller via a third party aucton, such as John's, I for one would not be happy to cover postage for the winner, having already given up 20%, it just does not add up on most records that are bought and sold. As for bidding, mugs game mate, stick with the set sales...
  6. I auctioned two pretty rare 45's with John last year, I wanted to put minimums on them, as I wanted a certain amount for them, he said not to, and I took his advise. They came in under what I wanted, and after the 20% I did feel I'd lost out, sure they made allot more than I paid for them, but I have to say I was pretty disappointed. So, think before you comit, you can put them up for auction via here, FB etc and not incur any fees, remembering 20% that might be your difference in bids on something worth a grand. He gets some silly prices, but only for certain things, so if its something like Jesse Davies on Joboth, your quids in, a more common 45, I'd do it yourself.
  7. Touch of Willie Hutch brilliance, from 1977 LP 'Havin a House Party' / Motown

  9. Just adding some info Tim, 'Oh Baby' and the brill flip 'Why' were both recorded at Gold Star Studios, 6243 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, California. I read as 'OB' was played in the UK by John Vincent at Wigan in 1975. I have 1966 as the release date, maybe 65 was when the Rainbo 45 was recorded.
  10. Burnley? only place where it's part of the fabric of their humour...
  11. I was wondering about this 45 the other week, so here is mine, thats a vinyl first issue right?
  12. A few of us met them both, and their respective wives after a live event in Brighton, back in the 9ts, they were all sitting down to a meal, and asked if we wanted to join... I think we botttled it and just got autographs. I was really impressed how friendly they all were... wish I had sat down with them now of course...
  13. I'd say no at an actual proper Soul do, I guess this has to do with the kind of event, if it's a Scooter do, or something like Tony Renold's Outrigger reunions, then I'd expect it... I guess folks do have to put their hands up to tracks like Glen Miller & Boris Gardiner (Bronco).
  14. John Browne owned this one for sure, sold it to Butch, I think, so thats one copy...
  15. Maybe not X files on this one either, but it's fookin psychopathic!! Has anybody on here got one? like most Ive never seen this in the flesh, not even a sniff admittably it's a crossover garage record.
  16. Not sure whether these two are 'X File' level, you decide... nice to look at though.. Here's a rare one for sure, I have only ever seen it listed twice... And this one, known by a single copy is it? I think...
  17. Other end of the scale, and apologies if somebody already put this up.. The Four Tops - Tea House in Chinatown & Gladys Knight & The Pips - Baby I Need your lovin from Silk n Soul...
  18. Dynamic Superiors - I Don't Want To Be Lonely / I think on their Motown LP, might have been unreleased... anyhow its very good
  19. Hi Mark, can you type this list out and be a bit more specific about what you are selling? I dont understand your sales post. You might want to pop your postage fees and payment preference in there also. Malcolm
