  3. Great thread this. On the white demo, there are no markings in the dead wax at all, & it's this cut.... https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Syl_Johnson...hat_Love_Is.ram I seem to remember the yellow one is the other cut. You've got one, or you had one didn't you Ted? Ted
  4. There is an original 60's 7" acetate of "Down In The Dumps". It's also a different cut & longer. Someone I know was at Popcorns place in the early 90's, & it was given to him with other acetates. On his return to the U.K. he sold it on, It then disappears for a number of years, & re surfaced about 3 or 4 years ago.
  5. I've got a few nice cheapies ending on ebay today. If you collect U.K. you may want to have a look at this, pretty hard picture sleeve https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1

  7. Hi Gene, Just had a look at another one that sold on ebay a while back, & this latest one has used the same scan. May be worth just asking him to verify run out markings, pm me if you want to know what they are. Here's the other one... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A%3AIT&rd=1 Better safe than sorry mate. Ady.
  8. Hi Steve, Think you'll find all the labels on the Al Gardner have Gooda Mooga, but all the sleeves say Googa Mooga. Mis print? Had quite a few pass through my hands & they've all been this way. Cheers Ady

  17. Putting a do on in America & having someone come over from the u.k. with all the song rehearsal sheets for the big live act, then he has his hotel room broken into the night before the rehearsal, & you've guessed it, the only thing to be stolen was the brown envelope with the song sheets in. Left his brand new d.j. box behind though. Then, on the grand opening night, the 3 main u.k. d.j's set off from their hotel & forgot the address of the venue. The taxi driver could only speak Mexican & they get taken on a mystery tour, they miss the night. Spose this is small fry to what big promoters have to contend with, but a headache none the less

  19. Sorry Russ, cant stop & talk, i'm just off out to the barn, think I remember where I left the rest of them F.P's.
  20. I had a couple of these in my barn. Then a few years ago I decided to have a bit of a clear out. So I took a couple of crates up to Sheridans to one of Andys niters, then tipped the crates up side down on the pool table & announced "Five quid each!!". It resembled a Rugby scrum. Anyway, I stood there talking to soul sam & a guy came up with a handfull, & in there was the Fab Playmates. Sam said he wanted it, but the guy handed me his money. I found another & sam was kind enough to give me about £20 in a trade for it. Now reading this thread looks like I did another wrongun
  21. Hello Dan, Just as a matter of interest, do both your copies have the 'shield' in silver? I've seen 3 different variations in colour on the shield, all silver, silver with a white band, & if I remember correctly the third had green in it. And there's the one known white demo. For a record that most probably had a very small press, this does seem weird. pottsy
  22. Make it 501 & chuck in Freds record, then they wont be so cheap
  23. Hi Phil I'll take the Garland Green Ady
