  2. It's nice that you can still get good records like this for next to nothing, while most are chasing the same old titles. Here you go, looks like you may be able to grab this one for 99p..... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NORTHERN-SOUL-DETROI...1QQcmdZViewItem :good:
  3. Hammy its on page 47 of manships rarestof...... not my cuppa tea, heard better Ady
  4. Hi Joel, just a word of caution, i used these for years & they can cause some records to sweat. Put the record into a thin paper sleeve first, then slip it into the lined sleeve To be honest i did away with them recently, i just use the old U.S. green sleeves slipped inside white card outers, because of the thickness of the card & sleeve there's no chance of the labels rubbing together.
  5. f****d that one up, sorry I think the foam lifts the crap out of the grooves & keeps it suspended while you wash it off. I've just sent the mrs. out to get some, well worth a try

  8. Hey Rod, That one looks like a bargain compared to this little beauty........ https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...14006%26fvi%3D1
  9. Sold my last one at St.Ives a few weeks back for £90, only vg+ but it did play nice, didn't fly out, took about 2hours to sell.

  11. Hi Ken, Keep meaning to contact you about your label, i've found out what caused it. I recently had a couple of rough copies of L.Ingram, I decided to clean the styrene with a light bleach & water mix, to clean out all the junk in the grooves. I accidentally got some on the label, guess what...it turned yellow. Case solved

That's right Pete, it did. It was ( & is even now ) a big hit with the L.A. Latino's for the "i'm no stranger" side. I was shown a local L.A. chart sheet once, cant remember what number it had got up to, but I remember being shocked as it was pretty high up in the charts. You don't find many demo's on the west coast though.
  13. You never know who's lurking in the shadows mate. Was with Boxer, Pete, Mark & that lot. I think Wills a better dancer than Mr.Pickles, dont you?
  14. Don't know what you reckon mischief, but I think "Will" should get a longer pair of trousers before next years dance competition or at least slacken off his braces
  15. Hi Grant, I came across half a dozen copies of this some years ago, at the time when I was doing the Polish Club in Luton. I tried very hard with it at the time, as it was in my interest because I had a few copies, but sadly couldn't get anywhere with it. Kept 2 copies & sold the others for about £20 to £30 if i'm not mistaken. I think it's a great record. I've got a good little rocker by him on the U.K. Downbeat label somewhere. Cheers, Ady.

Hi mel, I'd say the 1st issue "Heartbreak" is about £600 & about £450 to £500 for the "Heartache". You got one? Ady.
  17. You're bang on Gene ! I've just Googled an important event that is talked about on the flip of the cutting, & someone refered to it taking place last Sunday. And last Sunday was...March 7, 1965. So this paper cutting is from the following week...second week of March 1965.
  18. Hi DJ, Some years ago I managed to get Billy Arnells own copy of Tough Girl, via a third party, & his news paper cutting came with it. Sad really, that he let it go. I can see why he didn't keep the name Little Willie, probably started thinking of his street cred, being 17 & all that. Cheers, Ady.

Hi Andy, I've got the other cut, can you tell me if the labels look the same? Ady.
  20. This little news paper cutting is interesting.
  21. It was a great hunting ground before they got on the internet. Had three Timi Yuro's out of there over the years, last one Ray let me have for £60 about 3 years ago. Great bloke Ray, collects phone cards, talked to him for hours about those things Tommy found a mint Scotts on swingers, & a mint Your my mellow in there a couple of years ago for next to nothing. Nothing much left in the warehouse now, mostly thousands of chart records, but it was good while it lasted.
  22. Hi John, Yes it does have the w3 in the deadwax So whats the verdict?
  23. Hello Jerry, sorry mate, yes your correct, 117-B is the "Heaven is in your arms" side. Just thought, some years ago I had one that didn't play on centre. The one i've got now plays fine. Does the one with "Chicago..." on the label play on centre? Just a thought. Cheers, Ady.
  24. Hi Eduard, You forgot to mention the Lenny Curtis is on vinyl. These play real nice & clear, plus they look good. You should post up a scan of it cheers Ady
  25. Here's mine. Pronounced dip, no "Chicago, Illinois", it has 117-A w3 in the run out. Just looks like they pressed a batch & then thought perhaps we should add Chicago, Illinois ? Would seem strange to do it the other way round & remove it?
