I have the following two for sale, Major Harris & The Seven Souls. Normally i'd set sale them at about £300 each, but these 2 are so clean that i'm going to say offers. The Seven Souls was probably unplayed when I found it, think i've played it twice. No hiss, no distortion, no writing on labels. In original sleeve. Mint-. Blimey, am I glad i've just clocked this thread ! I've been holding a copy since easter weekend on a small deposit, when I had it in my sales box for a lot less than £400 ! So what is the value? I had looked on popsike & went for an average of the prices on there. It's mint- pottsy

.....Visually it's only fair, yet the loud production of the cuts allows the music to just predominate over any surface noise. It is well used and has a constant surface noise..... "Just predominate over any surface noise". I think he's saying you can just about hear the song over the styrene hiss, if you listen very carefully. That's the problem with styrene, once you get a hisser there's nothing much can be done with it.

I use Crayola craft glue, it's made by the people that make kids Crayola crayons. Dries clear, plus any over spill can be taken off with cotton wool soaked in warm water. Must have used it on dozens of records over the years. I have used Pritt stick like Trevski said, that works well, but if you dont put it on even you end up with small lumps under the label.

Mines a lot different to that version. It has the spoken section plus the whole recording sounds different. Sadly I cant do sound clips yet.

A funny thing though, I was just thinking about the copies of Bobby James & Jimmy Burns i've seen, yet i've only seen a couple of copies of the Brand New Faces could this be the rarest of the three? Just a thought...

Hi Pete, Glad you won it mate. was just wondering why there was no sound clip on the auction? I've had 2 of these, one played ok but the other had needle burn throughout the vocal, as it's a styrene record, so could only play the instrumental. cheers pottsy

Hi Bob, Did you know there are 2 takes of "Someday Soon" on Contact ? The one with (Gregory Washington) under the title has some extra piano all the way through the track, where as the one with (Despan Pub.) under the title does not. Also the one "with" carries the same number, 112466, only on the "Someday Soon" side, as the Anita Anderson. I really think I should get out more
