  1. Aw shucks...I Love you too Lisa ahem....sounds more like she's about to throw a wobbler & ask for a pay rise John, but then she cant be, as you keep telling me she's over paid & under worked He does Lisa, you know I wouldn't lie to you, after all who would you trust more, John .....or me Pay rise ? think she needs a furkin medal !
  2. I did have one once, seem to remember it being pretty good, would be right up your street these days mate Any chance Mr Manship could post up the flip, please ? can only help the price of the one on auction. cant remember the title, off the top of my head
  3. We're not talking about a few weeks later, or even a few months, if Paul Mooney & John Manship are correct, & I cant see for one minute why they're not, we're talking 5+ years later. We can speculate, or more to the point you can, but all I just did was laid the facts down that we have at hand.
  4. Martyn, But if we follow what you have just suggested the orange release would then have the 213-384-9334 number on them, but they don't. pottsy.
  5. Hello John, Oh, I see So now you are selling the issue ? with the "b-side but the b-side isn't worth a mention cause it's awful boogie or is it really good boogie??" Regards potsy
  6. Are you sure John? On yours, under where it says SIDE A, there are another 3 lines of writing saying DJ COPY / Time / Number. On the "issue" under SIDE A, there are only 2 lines of writing saying TIME / Number. My demo's are only double "A" sides. So has your Demo got the "B" side ? I'm not being funny, just intrigued. Regards, potsy
  7. I've only ever seen demo's of the SS5002 Paul. The other release, seems to be issue only, seems to be less of these now days.
  8. that's not a record, that's an intro !
  9. But surely the Golden Triangle release is just a later re-issue done around the time of the Free Angela Album, on the same label, to help raise funds towards her release from jail ?
  10. Hello Roger, I was shocked as well Roger, but like John always says, you have to look at the facts. If they had pressed Aki Aleong, then Bob Relf on a yellow with the same telephone number on the label, as they did do. Then press a legit orange label with a different phone number (like we all want to believe). Then that would mean that 5 plus years later down the line when they did another legit repress for the UK demand that they had to go to the phone company & get the phone number back that they had years prior. Sorry I'd like to be proved wrong, as I have 3 orange labels & only 1 yellow Regards, Pottsy.
  11. Hi mate, Both John Manship & Paul Mooney have said there was a LEGITIMATE repress done of this record 5 years after it's first release in 1968, for the U.K. market. They have said the pressing company used the same plates. The company had nothing to hide, as it was legitimate, it was good news for them after all. So they are hardly going to put a false telephone number on the label. I'm only looking at the facts. Pottsy.
  12. You sure bout that john ?
  13. But Paul, They couldn't have done. Not unless they somehow got their telephone number changed back to the one they had many years before. pottsy
  14. Oh dear !! So, lets get all this into some kind of order. 1st press = Yellow label, stamped in dead wax, TRANS-AMERICAN - Tel. no 213-384-9334 2nd press = Yellow label, stamped in dead wax, TRANS - Tel. no 213-384-9334 3rd press = Orange label, stamped in dead wax, TRANS-AMERICAN - Tel. no 213-389-9938 Bootleg = Yellow label, Trans-American, thin vinyl, no stamp. May even be a Trans boot ? Pottsy
  15. Hey Ezzie, In further experimentation to validate the authenticity of these records, i've just been testing orange & yellow copies in the bath. Good news mate ! the orange ones float ! When it gets up to neck level, perhaps you'd better load up & come over to my place, nice n dry here Regards, pottsy ps The yellow ones sank
  16. I think you must have your years a bit wrong Paul, because Paul Mooney says this was from 1975. pottsy ps Dont shoot me, i'm just the messenger.
  17. but he is a Fred Dibnah fan !! Now let me think, shall I live in Bolton or California ?
  18. You have a point there Pete, very odd, I must say.
  19. A Classic ! oh no, that came before the mark 1. Sorry, a joke for Capri lovers
  20. Now this is interesting. Just been told, by a man that does know, that the Yellow label was the first to get played over here.
  21. Hello Paul, Would you mind me asking you how you know this, please. Regards, pottsy
  22. I was wondering the same thing Mike, & its a demo without the really good flip side. I bought a demo a while back, didn't think to look out in the barn where I had some
  23. John, From the facts it looks like the yellow label Trans-American (with stamp in dead wax) is the first press. The Orange one is the second press. Its not 'exactly' the same label, because by the time this was pressed they had changed their telephone number. You & Paul seem very definite about this 1973 re-press, as a matter of interest, did you get them done?
  24. So are you saying they had the same telephone number ? Just double check that.
  25. Hello Paul, Are you 100% sure about this? No chance it was an orange issue on Trans-American that was a legitimate repress? They wouldn't have changed the label name to 'Trans' if it was legit. Regards, pottsy
