    COLLECTORS NIGHT
  2. John, now you're starting to worry me mate You're right, totally forgot about that. How come you know my dealings better than me Hang on, this is two days on the trot you've been home in the day time. You're not being imprisoned & sexually abused against your will, are you ?
  3. Exactly. Also because they are very brittle styrene you can have a mint looking Shrine that hisses all the way through. I've got a mint looking Enjoyables & one that looks vg- & it's the vg- one that plays the best. At least with Mikes copy of the Cautions you know you are getting one that plays nice. Sounds a bargain to me. By the way, I know this is not the time & place to go into an in depth discussion about it, but some of the Shrines actually had two presses at two different pressing plants, & that includes things like Shirley Edwards, Sidney Hall, etc.. Some were Bell Sound pressed/stamped. Lot of facts about the label yet to emerge. pottsy
  4. P.S. When in that earlier post I said there was something in the label credits about 'country club' it was 'country squire motor lodge'
  5. That's not my copy, mine was/is mint. Better have a look in the shed, may still have it. Value? well it's rare, but it's a bit naff. I did try to like it but couldn't, so I evicted it down the garden path...dont know, £30?
  6. Hi Matt, Sadly it doesn't fall into the normal pricing category, as I dont think the few owners will part with them. I was round my mates house last week playing his copy, the group flip is fantastic. I know this doesn't help mate, sorry. pottsy
  7. Come on then Craig, I know it was a joint effort, but your covers blown mate post up the info. Did you get it off me? If not, it may still be out in the shed & i'll have to look for it.
  8. Hello John ! bloomin eck, you've got a better memory than me mate. I think you've got it
  9. oh blimey yes, had this a few years ago. Now who was it by, the label credits were something about 'country club'?? like Tommy says, light blue label.
  10. About the same price as an original Primers round at the label owners place before anyone else had been round there Couldn't believe it when I first heard the record. Infact i'll play it Sunday at dkof. The record is a touch different to the version he had on the tape. So are these new 45's the same version as the record?
  11. That's the one Gene. So, what's the score on the vocal over double cookin called "you're the fire" credited to Del Satins featuring Adrienne Williams ? Rumour has always been a S.S. thing. Any actual facts re this ? pottsy
  12. Had a long interesting talk about this subject with Kev Fev last night, regarding where the ME-O label was from. Facts point towards it being a West Coast label. Take Richard Wright & the STAR-VELLS on ME-O, produced by RoMEO Taylor. Romeo Taylor had a record - Romeo Taylor & THE STAR-VELLS -Will you come back my love - Celestial (West Coast label). Also it was released as a different version (by him?) singing as the Originals on Associated Artists (West Coast label). Does look like it could be Romeo Taylors label. But what ever way you cut it, facts point towards LA. An interesting point Kev raised, who's Tootsie Rollers ? Thurman Hollis ? Anyone know ?
  13. Seems to be a lot of "iffy" copies of this about at the moment.
