  3. Now this night will be a good night. We'd like to welcome Joan Livesey as our very special guest DJ on the 29th July. Plus ! Carl Fortnum has now replaced Hammie as full time resident at Stewartby. So many venues try to book Carl to do special guest appearances without success, so we're really pleased he's come back to Stewartby as full time resident. Onwards & upwards !
  4. There will be fresh filled rolls for sale on the door up until 11pm. £2 each.
  5. Only just seen this post. It's me that's selling the mint one on eBay. Cleanest copy I've ever seen.
  6. Had a few messages regarding entry. It's a pay on the door event. Still a fiver. Thanks Ady
  7. I think someone got a bit of a bargain with that Priscilla Page. i.m.h.o of course. I've got both versions but the RM mix works best over a loud system. Took me ages to track an RM down.
  8. Lorraine Rudolph - Keep coming back for more - Jet Stream. Very rare Demo. Mint. £175 Jesse Fisher - You're not loving a beginner - Way Out. Rarer alternate take to the multi colour label release & the red & white label copies with 'YOUR' in the title. As you can see it's a worn copy but plays very nicely for the grade. You can hear ticks on the run in groove that pretty much clear when the music kicks in. Writing on label. £150. ****SOLD**** The Magnetics - Let me comfort you - Sound Trap. 'Low fi' ballad from Virginia. Some debate over the year of release but seems to be early to mid 1970's. Visual condition is Vg, surface scuffs. Play grade is stronger. Tiny dish warp, hardly notices. It plays better than the copy posted below on youtube. £250. Trade Martin - Work song - RCA issue. Mint- £100. Lou Courtney - Tryin' to find my Woman - Buddah. Tiny edge crack that goes about 1mm passed the run in. Plays mint-. £40. PayPal friends. Transfer. Cash. Cheque. Postage within the UK. Items of & over £100 special delivery £7.90. Under £100, tracked, £3.90
  9. Sorry to hear this sad news. I used to enjoy chatting to him years ago, RIP mate
  10. Sound system all set up. Sounds really clear. Changed the deck head shells yet again. I seem to change them more than my socks. I just love a really clean clear system, so we can hear every hiss, bang & pop. I know some of you are travelling a long way to be there tonight, so safe journey !
  11. I had a copy in my hands about 20 years ago that had the "I wanna dance" label on both side. Gary Fields was selling it for someone.
  12. I noticed his Professionals "That's why I love you" is a totally different version to mine? As is someone's copy called RareMusicDirect? Mines the same as Brian Pinches post on there. So is there two versions of "That's why I love you" on original?
  13. Also, on the flip side mine has a 1966 date on the label. By chance I have a scan of a thin vinyl copy as well, that has a date stamped on the label for 1967. I know dates on labels don't prove anything, but just thought it a point of interest.
  14. There seems to be another press as well. The thick vinyl, with the darker shade of green. But, it also has the pimples. If anyone would like to see it I'll gladly show them at any place where I'm doing a set.

  24. That copy of the Pentagons was a bargain. I remember sitting chatting to Lee Silver about the record. Lee being the label owner, producer, etc. He told me that there was an earlier release of the record by the Corduroys. I see there's not a mention of this in the auction listing. For those that may be interested this is what it looks like...
  25. There will be filled rolls for sale on the door between 7:30 & 10:30 tonight.
