  1. This is what the boot that Mal posted up looks like held up to a light bulb. That's not a reflection, that's looking through the vinyl. They must have dubbed it directly from a slightly worn original because you can hear light background noise as the music kicks in. The audio is nowhere near as clear & loud as an original, but the labels are quite close.
  2. The Luther Ingram was green label, styrene, Parker Street address, Distributed by Atco record sales co. under artists name.
  3. I'm really looking forward to the night, and to chat with you mate. It'll be lovely to be with other like-minded collectors. The pink/flesh colour Teri De label is incredible when you think about it because every record is a dancer, and some of them being double siders. So it's a good little label to collect.
  4. Yes Carl has one Phil. He managed to put the full set of pink Teri de's together many years ago. I think that's one of the reasons that I got inspired to go over to the west coast in the first place, in search of Teri de records lol By absolute chance I managed to put a full set together as well. But here's a photo of the two Jimmy Greshams...
  5. ? he doesn't have any other variants, he has a Bell Sound original & a boot & wants to know if either are original?
  6. A look back at Stewartby, Saturday 28th September 2024. I honestly thought after all the scaremongering over the flooding over on the outskirts of Stewartby that no one would turn up, but how wrong was I. Mr Tony Dellar was the special guest DJ for the night. A true professional behind the decks, it was an honour to have him back at Stewartby. Combine Tony with another professional, Carl Fortnum, and you know you're going to hear the best in dancefloor soul sounds. Unreleased acetates like Tammi Lynn, etc., one after the other. All requests got played. A massive thankyou to all the lovely friends that continue to support the night x The next night is the big 16th Anniversary on Saturday 30th November 2024. Guest DJs for the night are Joan Livesey & Steve Foran, backed by Carl Fortnum, Geoff Ware & myself. Until then, take care.
  7. The pressing with MR in a small enclosed circle in the runout are styrene boots done at the west coast Monarch pressing plant. The delta number that starts with a tri-angle followed by a 100... number shows they were pressed in the 70s
  8. I've just driven along the B530 & driven down Stewartby Way. IT'S NOT CLOSED! There's not even a puddle there!
  9. I’ve just set the sound system up. Just Green Lane is closed, so use the other roads. There’s not a single puddle left in Stewartby! It’s dry!
  10. Stewartby Annual Soul ALL DAYER 3pm to 1am. DJ times for the Stewartby All Dayer to follow
  11. Stewartby All-dayer 24th August 2024. Wow, what a day! The 3pm to 8pm open deck sessions were absolutely second to none. Everyone brought something new to the table, thank you ever so much, I personally enjoyed every single record I heard. Play lists would be brilliant if you have the time ? Dave Vanner then did an hours guest spot. He stood in for Carl who sadly couldn't make it. Dave played some top sounds! Geoff & I then got behind the decks for the remainder of the night. Requests came in thick & fast, most got played. Thank you to Sue for the lovely smile (and the lovely rolls) on the door x Thank you to Dave Crawley for creating the excellent flyers. A huge hug goes out to all you friends that continue to support Stewartby as we head towards our 16th anniversary Ady, Carl, Geoff & Sue

  18. Sadly, our special guest DJ Tony Dellar, is a bit under the weather. He assured me it's nothing too serious, he said it's a virus he's had trouble shifting. So we wish you a speedy recovery Mr. D. I'll try & twist his arm & see if he'll do a spot for us a bit later in the year Carl Fortnum is now going to do the main spot.
  19. Has anyone done any research into the Beau Dollar and the Coins 45 "Soul Serenade" & found out if Prime was the first label or Fraternity? EDIT : Sebastian Fonzeus & Ady Croasdell kindly answered on another forum : Fraternity issue is from Feb/March 1966, Prime is from October 1966.
  20. Ady, some are nice & smooth but some are not, the ones that are not I trim down a thin white paper sleeve & insert it inside the green one. Sometimes you’re lucky & the thin white one doesn’t need a trim. I’ve found all the old green ones fit into the card outers.
