  3. Hi, About 18 months ago I decided to sell some of my vinyl to raise funds following the birth of my daughter. And of the dozen or so records I parted with, the one I constantly regret is my NM copy of Kool And The Gang’s debut. So, if anyone has a US original (DE-2003) in VG+ or better that they’re willing to sell please let me know. Thanks, Joe

  5. Hi All, Hoping some of you can help out with any of the below in decent condition. 6. I don't have an audio clip available - sorry. This is taken from Discogs though: "Never knew this existed until recently - but seems now there are 3 different versions of the promo in existence. The essential one to have is the version that includes the extended Disco Mix - the other two were just different presses of the mono and stereo versions of the track. The differences being the catalogue number and the layout on the label."
  7. Yeah, I have the original version on 45 but have been looking for this Disco version for ages. It does turn up now and again. Thanks for the nod towards Mike Dunn, I'll check it out.
  8. Hi, I'm looking for the Disco Edit of this on 45? It's on Arista DISC-0115 and has Mixed For Disco DJ written on it. Open to trades if you'd prefer that. Thanks. Joe
  9. Hi, I'm after a copy of The First Thing I Do In The Morning by Joyce WIlliams ( I don't mind whether it's the original Act IV pressing or the second press on Nickel). Thanks, Joe
  10. Hi, I'm looking for the "Mixed for Disco DJ" version of God Make Me Funky on 45 (Arista DISC 0115) if anyone has one to sell. Thanks.
  11. Yeah, a few people have mentioned Bleeker St. Managed to find a few online that I'll try out.
  12. Hi, I'm going to NY for the first time in a couple of weeks and wanted to pick up some vinyl whilst I'm over there. Can anyone here recommend some good record stores that sell soul / funk vinyl? Thanks.
  13. Hi, I'm looking for copies of the following on 45 if anyone has them: Soul Drums / Funky Donkey - Date 2-1568 Heavy Soul Slinger / Good Livin' (Good Lovin') - Flying Dutchman FD 26024 Possible trades available if you're after anything I have (mainly soul and funk), otherwise I can pay cash. Thanks. Joe
  14. Bobby Byrd is the male vocalist on the Momie-O track (Vicki Anderson's husband at the time). Great 45.
  15. Yo Bo, I don't suppose you fancy selling your promo copy in the OG sleeve do you???
