  1. I am in the middle of converting all vinyl 45's/12's & LPs to digital. A few things I hadn't played/heard for ages which have since been getting some airtime are
  2. Any ideas how much this should go for. As seen a few online prices which seem over the top?
  3. They don't come any better.
  4. Some excellent selections already, how about. Neither One of Us - Gladys & the Pips
  5. On record the problem is often the material/production. In terms of live the ones that struggle the most probably always were not the greatest live. Having said that as good as some of them still are they are not a patch on how they were in their prime. Which can be said for most of us!!!!!
  6. Warm Weather - Pieces of a Dream Give Me The Sunshine - Leos Sunship Sausalito - Grover Washington Jnr
  7. Lines never blurred from my perspective, starting buying soul carried on through lots of its guises/offshoots, but it always comes back to do I like it and if so who cares what others think.. I would have loved a weekended in the mid 70s which played fully across the Board as there was so much good stuff that was missed by many who had one dimensional views and many still do!!!!!!!!
  8. A much underated talent. Deja Vu and Portuguese Love both top draw.
  9. I always find it interesting looking at clips like this, and the standard is generally OK given the age of the performers. But it always makes me wish I would have been able to see them at their peak. It often makes me think of a conversation I had with a collector way back in the early 80's who said they never went to concerts as the live performance could never match the record. Although this is true in many cases I still believe that seeing the top performers live is a much greater experience than listening to anything they have recorded.
  10. Not sure re the moat successful manager ever and definitely not the best fans in the world. I hope he stays as better for the rest of the teams!!!!!
  11. Sunday's archive selection.
  12. Walk Away From Love - David Ruffin Its An Uphill Climb To The Bottom - Walter Jackson
  13. Hi Steve, And I respect yours. Not sure we are miles apart as I think experience, which usually includes an element of learning from mistakes, is slightly different than planning which can be over regimented.
  14. Sorry but I completely disagree. The only planning is what to put in the box in the first place and then spontaneity is where I come from, feel the moment and go with your gut instinct.
  15. A few random shots from the archives
  16. Weather B miserable. Random picks to remind us of better weather. Then again can't moan too much, sister in States had 9" of snow the other day.
  17. I have played each one three times and decided I just prefer The Jackey Beavers Show other the Cameros.
  18. A few more from the archives.
  19. Rainbow Road - def top 20 tune. One of my best buys was the Quinvy 5 LP set for £10.
  20. A few random pics whilst transferring Still Caught Up to PC.
  21. Baz's pics of Cornwall, made me holiday sick and search the archives.
  22. A genuinely nice bloke. RIP
  23. I think it was about £70. The vast majority have been at cost price LPs and £20.
