  1. Who are they What are they Where do you find them Are they influential Are they required Do they even realise they're policing the scene Are they causing the scene to fragment Comments
  2. ============ Only guessing but when he said too much soul about nowadays, think he was referring to the number of nights on, as opposed to soulful content of music? And I know you agree with that as well
  3. ============== Prefer democracy to dictatorship myself
  4. =============== Medals in the line of duty next, or is that what the badges represent?
  5. =============== Was you wearing your 'pirates of the carribean shirt', the one you were sporting at Hitchin the other week. Very fetching
  6. ============== Was mentioned on another list this morning. The report said, he's being weaned of the sedatives and that he's had a trachiotomy. Keep going Martin
  7. =============== Am laughing at this, but in a PC kinda way
  8. ============== Absolutely essential
  9. ============ Enjoyed those films, particularly sad the way in which she died. MS is a bastard of a disease. RIP Tamara
  10. --> QUOTE(ang b @ Oct 12 2006, 03:16 PM) link if we were not doing these things wat else is there for us, to sit at a bar & get pickled livers & what ever else in a pub full of teenagers that want to fight every one every wkend, thats not for me id rather do what im doing with all the friends ive made over a long time & feel ive had a good night out ======== We could collect stamps Not decrying the scene, I still enjoy it and if going out, would rather go to a northern do than a normal club
  11. ============ I have those symptoms most weeks, there's no doubting the scene takes it out of you, but on the other hand, includes a modicum of fitness. Think logically speaking, the older you get the more difficult it becomes to sustain a life on the northern scene
  12. ============ Not sure what the percentage is, but am positive there is merit in what you've said Garv. I do think some people would use something else if not the northern scene, as a crutch. When things are sh*t it's always there, dance off the frustrations, talk some bollox, people could be doing worse
  13. just bringing to top of the page
  14. =========== Ahhhh you must be referring to "the Disneyland Paris Blues"
  15. =============== I didn't say you said he was selling them. I was referring to Ian's explanation where he explains where the records came from, and the fact he wasn't offering them for sale. Have to agree with Shane, Dave, and Baz, feels like a kangaroo court scenario. Plenty of threads been on here in the past, where things have been intimated without any names actually being used, what's different this time?
  16. ============ Didn't know Mickey Mouse had done a northern track, is it a cover up?
  17. ============ Tommy Steele joke?
  18. =================== Well said Shane, definitely a "we're 12 good men and true" undercurrent on SS recently
  19. ============ Course we could also assume that Ian is telling the truth and didn't offer the tracks for sale?
  20. ============== Mid tempo, R&B, Stompers, 7Ts, crossover, oldies, newies, modern.......yeah I guess you could say there's more than one style
  21. =============== Maybe he's going to watch if with the sound turned down, not that it doesn't have it's place
  22. If they're up and dancing Ken, you're not going far wrong
  23. Used to really enjoy the Bretby nighters, one of my fave venues
