  1. Two different pressing plants involved for these Amy-Bell-Mala issues. Then there's also the very first Monarch pressing on blue label made of styrene. Anyway the bootleg is a copy of the darker green one but has a 'pitted' labels and less precise prints. As for matrix I can't say. Nor for run-out groove count.
  2. Lovely really clean EX rarer WDJ copy very first press of this double sider of utter class and pedigree. A Mike Terry and Jack Ashford composition for this Ken Williams production on his own Junior label ! REDUCED FROM £165 to £150 ! Recent JM auction item in an as clean condition copy only for the 'X' felt DJ 'plug mark' on flip side. Listen to both sides with needle drop and run out loop before lift at the end for silent groove rendition. Scanned pictures enhance 'ring wear' on both sides that truly don't show that strong in real. £150 all in. sensation with yvonne baker.mp3
  3. Well I was not aware or the Cadet release existence of this until now... Must be pretty rare. No sales on datcogs ! Love my Argo's and this grower of a tune. Secure one on Argo ASAP or Cadet if ever but then let us known if so.
  4. RIP Soul Sister +
  5. A sparking super clean example of this 1965 re-release of the Embers on Act IV from 1963. But rest assure as this release's in for a better mastering and extra 'Oomph' factor. Scans and sound clip from both sides of the actual copy for sale. Shipping with tracking costs included. seminoles you can lump it.mp3
  6. Their rare one in real good condition. An EX for many but set it at EX- for a strict grading. The best looking copy I've seen with faint wear on the labels and faintest lightest scuffs. Plays as it looks. Price includes registered shipping. Look to the unforgiving scans and listen to the unaltered sound clip from the actual copy offered for sale. You be the judge. toni & the hearts never 2.mp3
  7. Terry Bryant 'Geni' on Verve Jimmy Dotson 'Linda' on Aar-O-Dot the Sharpees 'my girl Jean' on One-Derful
  8. The Pips 'Linda' on Fury Johnny Williams 'Maggie' on Twinight Fred and the Turbines 'Bernardine' on Cenco
  9. Thanks for that. So the UK Import Customs Duties have no other mandatory requirements than to either cash in due import duty taxes if any or to send the parcel back without investigating further. I would have expected the UK Customs to do (like any other) like it was before the internet days to send the recipient a letter asking to bring forth proof of the purchase if any or to be accounted as gift. Now I know as I just have my first mailer that's on its way back being returned to me. Where before they all went through easy peasy or almost. But never returned to me. Until now. Hence my quest. The Belgium Post has become such a terrible administration it was my last resort to send them through like that or else the mandatory shipping price, huge packaging and pre-formatted CN23 format a nightmare to deal with. Now hopefully I've been advised that the UPS services are reliable, cheaper and efficient enough to avoid the Belgium Post hassle and their unforgiving CN23 mandatory Custom declaration form and packaging. I'll try that.
  10. Would anyone know if the UK Customs or the Royal Mail even on second instance are required to inquire with the recipient of an incoming postal parcel's content value were either the CN22 or CN23 Custom Declaration Form is incomplete, incoherent, damaged or missing ? Or not at all. So that they will simply send it back to it's sender without seeking any further after having spent 3 weeks with them. Am based in Belgium and here the Belgium Customs do inquire with the recipient when needed. It even shows on the Belgium Post tracking internet site and the recipient also gets a regular letter in the mailbox to comply with it. Allowing the recipient to provide them with the informations they need to proceed with the import procedure before sending it back to the sender if ever they can't proceed it as such.
  11. Looking for a most clean copy of the Topics 'Please Take This Heart Of Mine' B / W 'All Good Things Must End' on Brothers III. Please PM if ever.
  12. Discogs shows two styrenes (one yellow gloss paper label and one red) then two vinyl variants. Original is yellow styrene with Matt label and raised 'X' machined matrix.
  13. Discogs parano stand shows that they're not knowing any better. Yes indeed it only shows 4 bootlegs entries. Someone must create the legit issue entry for this rare sole release for the Caneil label. which is some work.

  15. ON HOLD ! The lively green FIRST local press Sylves pressing in rare super EX clean condition before being picked up by the Chess Group for national promotion and distribution. The 'A' side 'That's My Girl' lived too long in the shade of 'That Girl' until... Flip side 'The Girl And The Boy' is pressed slightly off center NAP like all these copies are. Look and listen to both sides of this winner 45 with needle drop and run out groove till the loop at the end for even silent groove 'black floor' rendition. £165 all in. porgy monarchs that's my girl MINT.mp3
  16. Nice EX sharp looking and playing copy on a lovely yellow stocker label recorded right before joining the Mirwood armada fame. FWIW note the musical arrangements of Gene Redd on the 'No More Will I cry' side for this August 1965 release... NY or LA or ? Look and listen with needle drop and run out groove till the loop at the end for even silent groove 'black floor' rendition. £50 all in. olympics loma.mp3
  17. Rumored to exist as a first press as the Hot Cinnamon on SOS but most likely an hoax. Or a one off carver's with a fake made up misleading cover-up like label. Of which only a most blurry scan exists to attests of its existence. Just as it was also once credited as such on a 1993 Goldmine compilation to start up the myth. While this Hollywood Now label at this early stage in life counts 3 consecutive releases under the Copyright Company of 'Then Music' (as in Now & Then) which seem rather to indicate that this Joe & George on Now was the first release if ever. Anyway a highly recommended soulful dancer 45rpm that takes no prisoners. Unforgiving lyrics by this tense soulful duo accompanying a merciless drive is still to have its day. A 'little known' record still deserving better recognition IMO. And don't pass by the 'flip' either for something new that should fit today's funkier's sets. A good strong VG++ going through EX due to overall faint wear. Plays faultless. Look and listen on both sides with needle drop and run out groove till the loop at the end for even silent groove 'black floor' rendition. £150 all in. joe & george no on loves you.mp3
  18. The Detroit guys that became the Legend's on Mickay's soon after. Often wrongly believed to be the Wingate, Sport and Volts guys later by not. Strong playing VG++ copy going through EX due to some superficial scuffs on the vinyl surface visible under direct light. Still looking solid good. Look and listen on both sides with needle drop and run out groove till the loop ant the end for even silent groove 'black floor' rendition. £150 all in. toy soldier.mp3
  19. The first press of La Beat 6701 with the wrong credits as the LPT's 'Together (That's The Only Way)' that was the record due for the next release on La Beat 6702 but playing the Masquerades 'Be Happy' as La Beat 6701 was intended. Confusing stuffs happened at the pressing plant as even the credits of the 'A' side here credits the 'Orchestra : LPT's' as would one expect the instrumental version but not. As the instrumental is effectively featured on the flip. Listen here. Superb EX+ condition £150 all in. LPTs tohether.mp3
  20. You're right. So not 'Whispers' but 'I Get The Sweetest Feeling'. My bad. Still missing the third one.
  21. What are the 3 songs in there (there was an older thread on here about it but couldn't find it back) out of which I still get Jackie Wilson's 'Whispers' and the Four Tops 'It's The Same Old Song' but not the third one... Anyone ?
  22. From my last 'love find' on the cheaper end with 'From Atlanta To Goodbye' on De Luxe (too long overlooked by stupid me) to my very first love found late teen summertime memories with 'Baby I'm Sorry'... Then I'll leave the 3 in between with 'Call Somebody Please', 'I Bet'Cha (Coldn't Love Me)' and 'All I Need Is Your Love' all on Carnival.
  23. If it's nice play it twice Honor to Chalky. The one tune by them that got a lot plays home lately while spinning 45's.
  24. Just taking my precautions as I've been told a few times not to spoil 'coming out' like so whenever I do. But thank you.
  25. We're two and the same on here NOT liking 'Mr. Big Shot' one bit. Sorry not wanting to spoil others enjoyment by adding to it but it's rare enough to have one popular artist with his most prized record disliked not to comment on it. Ever since I had my first copy by the mid eighties bought blind in a lot of NS 45's (It was not in great condition though so I sold it even if I liked the flip 'I hate to be the one to say' that now I own clean) I still don't like 'Mr. Big Shot'. Somehow to my imaginary ear the tune and its musical company just don't fit Gene 'Gentleman' Chandler singing. Although all the credits on the label are of the greatest pedigree and the promo bears that 'Bunky's Pick' plug side.
