  1. Hi Pete, I have the Sapphires myself (softer spot for me: VOCALS !!!) for myself. Even though I find the Yum Yums also good and different (wich makes it a plus), I for some reason always prefered the Sapphires (against most opinions I guess) and so never was on the look out for it. Even turned down a mint black stock issue for 50 £ some 20 years ago. My friend is really not rich and not into collecting but, she totally fell for it and is having difficulties locating a copy. Wich indeed doesn't prove easy apparently (I wouldn't have imagine that). So the most likely one I could locate cheap and is the one coupled wirth Holly St James (down side to the deal really). Still, if anybody can help me getting one; welcome. Cheers, Tim
  2. Cheers guys, boots and reissues are not my speciality and since it's not for me, I haven't been too inquisitive on what price it command nowadays and what pressings/reissue it came out (I just found out it even had a Stardust release (one of the worst label to own any wich record on I think ) ! But still, she'll be happy with any 'good' sounding sort of reissue. Keep looking... Tim
  3. Hi, I'm looking for a friend a copy on the look alike ABC backed with Eddie Reagan. Cheers, Tim
  4. Looking for his Enigmatic LP (1977), PM me with condition and price. It can be clean and playable, doesn't need to be a collectors investment tip-top in shrink and so on condition. Cheers, Tim
  5. Hi there, I'll have Jackie Day - Before Its Too Late Mint- £ 25 !!! if WL/Promo !!!! Cheers, Tim
  6. I have this beautiful nicked ex to ex + and complete in it's original company sleeve. Hence what seem to be a classification number that seem as old as the record on the top left of company sleeve and the slight shade on the label of what seems like a sticker glue discoloration/residue on the 'one more chance' side. The 'the star' side label is immaculate. Will do a straight swap for a nearest to as possible original minty copy on Back Beat promo or stock but ORIGINAL copy !!!! Cheers, Tim
  7. Not an easy let go for me since it suited quiete nicelly my orange and blue Volt stock copies collection. I prefer the 'love changes', but saw it creeping in value and demand lately, so I'm willing to consider trade on one or two 6T's northern in great shape matching the value. I DO UNDESTAND THAT VALUES FOR TRADE CAN BE TRICKY (one's value for something is not someone else's), SO I'M ALSO OPEN ON OFFERS (£, & $). Voil ! This copy on Volt is ex+. or a strong ex to the least. It was new old stock when I bought it first some 12 years ago or so and it still maintains all of it's gloss. It shows ultra thin paper scuffs under a bright light, so common on those even minty 'numbers' stroke 'PL' Atlantic, Stax and Volt pressings. Plays perfect on both sides. Sorry, can't provide a sound clip from it at this time. Cheers, Timmy
  8. looking for a clean copy at a descent price for a friend cheers tim
  9. For trade against classic modern or northern soul in great nick. Sorry but I'm momently unable to put a sound clip or even a scan of the labels and it'snot to be found as a soundclip on the web. The Rens is in EX shape and the Lock, Stock and Barrel is in EX++. My wants is way too long, but will take anything in consideration for the value of one on one (+/- 250 £ each). Cheers, Tim

  11. Hi Jim, it was first issued on the San Antonio, Texas Dynamic label in 1964 by the Commands (who also composed the tune), My guess is that the O'Jays covered the tune and it was issued on the Imperial 45 in 1966. Being revived by the famous O'Jays on the major Imperial company, Houston Taxas based Back Beat label decided to re-release it by the original artists the Commands. The O'Jays album Soul sounds saw the light in 1967. So, what is the M.Lance credit ? I'm clueless, is it just a mistake and is it Major Lance or any other Margaret or Mick ? I don't know. But it's also a Sanisa music and not ASCAP copyright credit. I have no clue what is Sanisa Music though. Does anybody have a lead on that ? So it's also the last sixties edition of that tune (Soul sounds LP) that has the wrong credit. Minit is Imperial, so if it's not just a plain mistake at the label print what would be the reason for that ? Once again, I have no idea. Cheers, Tim
  12. Hi there, still after sugar lumps on virgil ? Cheers, Tim

  14. Looking to trade or buy a very clean look and sound wise. Cheers, Tim
  15. The second one is a belgian bootleg of some sort. Was made for te pop-corn scene somewhere in the late seventies or early eighties i guess. Sound is not as good as the real one, but not as bad as other bootlegs. So still worth not to be thrown in the bin. Tim
  16. So yes it's one of the rarest format (try to popsike it, it's not even featured !) for Frankie & Johnny. As far as I know at least. And indeed, many belgian record dealers (not northern soul ones) are seeking it to deal it. I isuppose that if no Belgian dealers have sold it on ebay, the case might be that they went straight to the collectors or brit dealers such as Mick SMITH. Who then sold them to the odd release collectors. It took me ages to pick one up. It's a well known rarity even for the Belgian collectors and dealers alike. Thierry BOULANGER is a belgian "modern soul" enthousiast and I doubt the fact that he might be into belgian releases as such (sorry Chris L). Tim
