  3. Can anyone shed any light on this record? Its an amazing gospel funk track. I've been looking for one for a while. Is it a silly money tune or can you pick them up for a decent price? Paul

  7. Well, each to their own I suppose. My comments were tongue in cheek my fellow soul sourcers so no need to take offence. It just makes me laugh that anyone would give it 8/10. Lets just say I won't be borrowing any films off those people. I would consider myself a good judge of whether something is good or not and this simply is not good. Now you can't turn round and say "well he likes it and its his opinion, therefore he is correct" because this film could never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever get 8/10 for anything except maybe shitness. So if it wins any awards or gets ANY kind of critical acclaim then I will eat my words. But the fact of the matter is it won't because its just not very good. I'm sure that some people would say Eastenders gets 8/10 or Iceland chicken nugget and chips get 8/10 but I would disagree. Just like I wouldn't sit in and watch The Bill because although some people would give that 8/10 I would argue that its a load of shite and not ever worth watching. So, In summary, I am correct and you are wrong. Paul
  8. I find it hard to believe that anyone could give this film 8/10. That would make it on a par (in my opinion) with Donnie Brasco, Casino, Dead Mans Shoes, etc when in fact its probably on a par with Grease 2. If a film gets 8/10 then you are saying that it is almost a masterpiece and you will always remember that film and recommend it to others. I would recommend 'Its me or the dog USA' over this pile of tripe. 8/10 is a ridiculous score to give it. I say 3/10 is more than generous. You clearly know nothing about films and how the marking scheme works in relation to the quality of the production you've just witnessed.
  9. It would have to be more than quite different Steve. Nothing short of totally fucking different would make me up my rating of the film from dog shit to wank.
  10. Yes. And, unfortunately, I was one of the dancers until we fecked off due to the film looking very ropey indeed. We thought we were getting involved in something special but it didn't turn out that way. There seemed to be a real lack of knowledge on the scene in general and we could see it from a mile off. Shame really as I believe there sould be a very good film made on the subject.
  11. I can't believe anyone will enjoy this film. The story and shite, dance scenes are shite and most of the acting is shite. I think I'd rather paint next doors loft than sit through that sack of shite again. The production team couldn't have got it more wrong. Its like hollyoakes does northern soul. To sum it up I'd probably say, shite.
