A superb podcast was posted on here a while back with some great album only Motown tracks - The Temptations - It's A Lonely World Without Your Love being one of them - Oh and it's got the Ruffin Bros fantastic Turn Back The Hands Of Time mentioned above on it too. Unfortunately, there's no track list. Anyone know what the track is with the lyric " You Left Me Truly Blue" ? - between Stevie Wonder and David Ruffin on the podcast? A couple of my faves are The Isley Brothers - Whispers and Seek & You Shall Find which sadly aren't on the podcast.

Damn! 2 records I'd have had off you in an instant had I not bought them a few days ago on ebay - Marva Whitney and OV Wright. Best Mike

They've got a great live sound. Gorilla looks/sounds like a great venue. Thanks for sharing. You've probably already heard it but if not check out the Lee fields & The Expressions new single posted up on here a couple of days ago.

Fantastic! Pedal steel guitar on a soul track is absolutely sublime. Country got soul! The album is on Spotify. Will give it a proper listen soon.

60S Newies; Do People Want Them?
Autumnstoned replied to Ady Croasdell's topic in All About the SOUL
Thought I might have that CD but the one I've got is The Northern Soul Of Dore - Rare Masters Volumes 1&2 released by Night Owl Music. There is a Toussaint McCall track on it - I Would Rather Have Nothing At All. Unclear from the sleeve notes who actually put the CD together but whoever it was, he/she must have passed over/missed Laughed (Until I Cried )? Must revisit the CD as I've not listened to it for ages. Look forward to hearing your new find Ady sometime soon at The 100 Club. All the best Mike -

I noticed that, Chalky, from Geoff's Lifeline review in Lookbacks. I remember Ted Massey posting a clip earlier this year but I hadn't realised that Kent had released it. Didn't see any publicity on here. Toussaint McCall isn't it? Still haven't heard the complete track but will be buying it. -
Ah SOTS! I thought Barry was referring to a new show - well it is early! . Used to listen regularly when taking my son to work on Saturday mornings. Always liked the show.

Couldn't see that this is mentioned anywhere on the site having done a quick search, but heard this on Adrian Corbin's show last night on Uckfield FM and thought it was worthy of inclusion. The Putbacks feat Nai Palm - Spanish Harlem. They're from Oz. Apologies if already posted. Released earlier this year apparently.

Hi Frank You also played The Dynells - Call On Me - I came up and asked you what it was and took a photo of the label which i've got on my iPhone. Glad I stayed till the end. Nice one. -
Note to self - must buy!

Not when you're looking for Soul in Seoul! No English street names, so took ages to find this place ( In Seoul outlets selling the same product e.g. vinyl, sewing machines, musical instruments etc are usually grouped together under one roof in a huge block ) which turned out to be pretty much a soul vacuum. There is another place there selling vinyl but I didn't have time to find it.

Impressions - This Is My Country - fantastic! Saw that someone is selling The Platters - Going Back To Detroit on here today. That's a good album. Darrell Banks Is Here - love it!

I voted Richie Havens and am comfortable being in the 9% minority. Got the Mixed Bag album - wished I had it on a 45. -
