It backs up my view the rare soul scene is Phooked as afar as Im concerned because people have selective principles meaning they select them when it suits! Or visa versa drop them when it suits!

I suppose its down to exposure to the bits of plastic! If you worked for a record shop or wharehouse your bound to come across something that you fed to your friendly mate ( Barry Stanton in my case) or you were told to give to the likes of Levine & co by the more experienced person you worked with. Memories of sitting in Global going through thousands of records for hours and having bloody sore ears cos the headphones were nasty! It wasn't all nice finding something but bloody exillerating when you heard it on a big system. P.S IM a big name DJ compared to Butch! His name only has 5 letters mine has 14 :lol:

So are you saying that dealers pass on records for the same price as they bought them? That an antique collector never thinks about the future worth of a collectable? Wake up and smell the coffee. Oh so you have met Peter Brown have you? and on that occasion he said something different to you than he did to me as we were having lunch on the bridge. You cannot say its not strictly true unless you are saying Peter Brown was fibbing to me and why would he! It might be the case as you put it in Europe but I wasn't saying that was I.?

With regards to count - you dont need to order a specific number anymore like you did 20 years ago- you can order 1 or 3 or 24 or 78 or 212. When I met with Peter brown 10 or so years ago in New York he was peddling his records and I asked how many he had to order and he told me any number you want now! The technology was so cheap that it cost him $2 each for single copies and then reduced in price for more multiples.

The whole scene is absolutely Phooked! Charge whatever you like is todays name of the game! A lot of dealers/collector sellers are taking the preverbial! Next The Stringfield family - Sounds of disco will become popular cos a dealer says so and it will be £300 when its real value is around £15

Problem is Ian Lots of of those tracks are free downloads or are on other compilations. It looks good but that's about it to me. Price is a bit much as well! I was thinking more around the £49.99 mark and was a bit shocked when I saw it! Anyhow whoever buys it wont be spoiled for choice in the car on along journey!

RedKeith is not being very honest as he does not use the word Boot or counterfeit. Why? because he knows that he could be prosecuted just like someone who takes poor cigarettes and puts them into fake Malboro packs. IF someone did that on ebay they would be prosecuted so why not this person or others who don't say that they are counterfeit copies which is actually what they are and not reissues! This is about real deception and if he was really honest he would as its an auction give a guide price!
