Just bought acopy of Central park by Harvey Averne on Uptite. But does anyone know this one: "Remember the times" by Parrish on Uptitie - Instrumental version cos the vocal is crap!

Its always the same- People ask for a record a week after you put one on alist on SS. Its not that Hard Mark and I sold my copy for £20.00 Cracking tune and will probably regret it. The hardest copy to get is the Canadian one

Think Ive told this one before- In Dublin a couple of years ago- Goes into this record shop that has acouple of racks of 45s. Pulled out Dee Dee warwick - Funny how we changed places asjed how much and he said 2 Euros. I asked if this was an Irish pressing ? He said no that they were Australian . I asked if he had anymore to which he replied yes 6 boxes downstairs. He promptly brought them up and I found some nice pieces. Lynn Randell, Bobby Paris etc all on Austrailian and the boxes were full of Austaralian records. In the last box 5 recortds from the endof about 200 was a US Demo of Mandrill- Too late - I asked how much and he said 1 Euro. The guys in Dublin have since banned me from their records Shops Hee Hee So How a US copy of mandrill got in 6 boxes of nothing but Australian records beats me!

You are wrong about the paragraph "Ripping off artists" - Its irellevant where the artist is if the song is copyrighted over here which thousands are including the most obscure soul 45s we listen to- I opened aprevious thread on this acouple of months ago.(Larry Birdsong- Somebody help me on SUR-Shot records) So if you boot over here you are ripping the artists or their estate of royalties! Fact. If you contact the copyright people they can tell you if its registered or not.

My favorite by Rah band is off the first album - The track is called "Slide" If it was renamed as by the barrino brothers it could have been played in amodern room.

This is a strange one- I have most of the Mirwood biggies on an LP - no cover but with track listing on the label - Its on a US VJ label. Mentioned this to Pete S some time ago- he didnt believe,e- Thought it was awind up. Ill get a photo and ask the gasher to post it up for people to see as I am using proxify at work just to get access to the source.

I was looking for a uk copy- What was the nEo experience like as I have not heard it although I love Human by them. Wish I had acopy of that- absolutely brilliant record. Did you know that Swing by Hokis Pokis was released in Canada on RCA and is quite rare. I have a white RCA demo and is one of my favourites from the Mecca.
