I see more and more Pop artists changing tack on approaches to music to either change direction or emulate? I saw Paloma Faith on TV this morning do a Sharon Jones type song and thought theres more & more of these establised pop artists moving into a soul based aura! Just like Punk moved away from Pop and rock is soul doing the same or having a similar effect on the music industry?

Which out of all those do you think is the rarest?

I dont like everything Ian plays just as I dont like eveything Sam plays or any other DJ. I open my ears to the ones I like! IN saying that I have felt his last 3 have been the best hes dome based on choice (My ears). Has nyone genuinely thought that IL loves the bloody music he plays and it isnt about reclaiming past glories - If it was then I would think 80% of us over 50 might be in the same boat!

I think comments on an auction is ok apart from cheap comments like its S***E This is a serious auction and therefore should warrant serious comment and opinion. i had this up for sale last year but nobody sniffed! Well cos Ive now had a few enquiries and the price of records is shot to pieces IMO in any set sale I thought I would chance my arm and put in an auction here. The vinyl looks VG but it plays faultless - It appears to be the same copy as the one sold years ago that is on popsike but it was then graded at VG+ The auction will run till Sunday at 6pm I will keep the price updated till Sunday lunch time every 24 hours

I did Ok Dave but even comparing me to you - Your Champions league material and Im playing in the conference so the Gulf between me & Butch is astronomical! I could put a decent set together then but you still know whats coming or gone before and you know how hard its is or gonna be. However the European crowd are less inclined to judge you against the Emperor!

If you have been on the same bill as him which do you think is worse - Going before him or after his set! I did both at Barcelona some years ago and shit myself on both occasions. What I remember about the weekend was him asking me where he first remembered me from and we sat and talked for an hour and still couldnt find an answer. Was it Wigan/Mecca /Ritz etc WE just agreed it was too long ago to remember! The one thing I did remember was warching him put his records next to the deck. Did they pay the extras? If not then they have a right to moan - If they got paid they dont have right to moan. This is me stating this as I I know what its like as an extra and it varies depending on which company- Most pay by the day but you have your own expenses to pay!
