I* know I go on abit about these 2 records but for me the worst ever 1. Theme from the Coloured man 2. Theme from Police story just utter crap and showed how low the scene would go just to keep the massess interested Who the hell broke these 2 onto the scene in the 70s- I bet Mr Winstanley wes not far away!

I was involved in a very small way with the cream release when I worked at Global. I signed some papers that said I owned 6% of the rights to the record. Not that I was going tomake any money out of it- I think I was given 10 copies for myself to sell if I remeber rightly - it was so bloody long ago!

You see Uk ones regularly for £25.-£35 Should be easy to get. US Copies are going for quite abit at moment

Your gonna hate me for this but I prefer Long John baldry version of the Drifter. As the topic starter said- the orchestration in my view is great and I love Baldrys voice as it builds to a creshendo near the end. I like Pollards version but find it a bit sparse! But its only my opinion.

So what is the true definition of "Rare" then? I only know of 2 acetates of Cleveland Eatons - Quasar one -Richard S has one and I dont know who has the other (It was Levine in the 70s) So is the "real number" make the item rare then?

Hi Pete - I soldthe Viper 6 months ago for £15.00 as well and lots of interest- Not More than £25.00 tops even if it is popular at the moment.

I buy quite often from a shop in new York and they are always reliable- Bob put the usual chage of $5.65 and it normally takes about 6 days. However this one took 7 weeks and it had the post date on it. 2 weeks later the same again from another source in new York $5.65 postage and it takes 8 weeks.

Which 2 records do you put together that keeps your set tight moving from a 60s record to a 70s record and visa versa. be very interetested how they go together. EG; Tony & Tandy - bitter and the sweet 60s and say Valerie and Nick - Ill find you 70s You get the idea
