I know this is off track but wanted to echo Pete. I bought MP3 player on Ebay /paid by paypal. The item didnt come so I put in a claim. The seller then sends a faulty one and tells ebay & paypal and shows them a proof of postage. Paypal then cancel my claim saying I had received the item. When I told them it was faulty they said I could not claim as my original claim was because the item had not arrived. F***ing useless they are!

As I have gone on so many times about the Frederick Hymes- Im sure youll tell me to shut up but it was this person who emailed me and told me he was dealing with leading dealers in uk but would not name them direct and in a nutshell said the Frederick hymes were pressed up with permission! This email I received was about 3 years ago.

As It was me who dealt with the idiot that Tubbs is speaking about. The guy said he never pays to get in a soul night then uses the excuse on Tubbs. I said it was a stupid comment to make! as the soul night is approx 30 yeards from the front entrance to the hotel and couldnt possibly have any impact on the soul night! He looked like a soulie but not from Aberdeen of even Scotland come to that! If the plonker is readingthis then lets hear his reply! but just because they are making the hotel look nicer 30 yards away and 2 floors down is the best excuse Ive heard as well! Can I visit any of others sourcers soul night and use this excuse to get in please- I will even get a pass made up with "Not paying to get in the place is a building site" or sort of! Enjoyed Saturday by the way- Just another 20-30 people in would have made it perfect! As we are in the platform bar on the ground floor in September everyone will probably want to come and we will all get crushed by Navvies!

I had better be careful here as I get my head bitten off when questioning a price. It amazes me how most of the records on here are exactly the same from different people as they are just using the price guide. At a car boot sale I sell things to get rid of them not to look flashy! Pete S is one of the few dealers who shows at least some imagination around the price of buying and selling records! Its all well & good saying the record is worth what someone is prepared to pay- Does that mean that if it does not sell its worth nothing! Rod bought George Carrow off me here afew months back and admitted he thought it was abit cheap at £25.00 as its probably worth £35-£40 based on rarity popular listening etc. - I was dumbstruck when someone on here or on behalf of somebody else was selling it for over a £100.00 The gap in the 2 prices is just too wide and deserves critical appraisal! Thats what this forum is for IMO! and hopefully should temper members to be realistic with their prices!

My best mate on the uk Soul scen are "MY REcords" why- because they never let me down! Its always a pleasure to see them and I could listen to them for hours! What joy they bring to my life as well as my little girl!

Its amazing what you can rake up after all these years- Not heard that for 25 years- Not a bad record at all but because its not scarce it wont probably become monster material unless dealers promote it as a reasonably rare record then the price will get higher and it will be Ace spectrum all over again!

When I have done a spot I have played it out 3 or 4 times- Cracking record IMO but not that well known!

One Im playing alot of is Brenton Wood- Two time loser/Lovey dovey kind of loving - Great double sider and so cheap to buy Question? What colour labels were Double shot - I have the yellow and a canadian orange
