Actually I have - but good to the guy who found it out- I wasnt trying to make a lot of money out of it - I was trying to get interest in the record - Thats what cover ups are about not trying to ilccit as much cash as you can. last night I played a record that a very big collector asked me what it was. I told him immeadiately- he said cheers Steve and if he gets acopy and plays it out he will say athankyou to me over the Mic - Now that makes me feel good - not covering the thing up and then trying to screw as much money out of him as poss (Thats what an auction does)

No -hees trying to get as much money for a record without giving the full facts of the record namely the name etc - To me thats deception and from a legal perspective it could be could be a breach of the sale of goods act - Have you thought of that one chalky! God its been an interesting day!

Hi - an anyone tell me the difference between the original on Strata east and the boot please- I always thought that the originals had a cerated edge but I saw a mates one a couple of nights ago that wasnt and was different to the boot i saw afew years ago

If a record had loud pops for 15 seconds can this really be graded at excellent?

So whats the difference between price guide and value? How do we buy or sell records - According to value? or according to price guide!

Prices have come down! Friend of mine has just got a record normally £150 on Mr Manships site for 32 dollars +postage Prices vary depending on how you shop- What really gets to me is other dealers have the same prices as john expecting to make a big mark up while others are realistic and price acccording to demand or take less mark up! Apart from avery few records that have a perceptive risk around numbers available? /existing? most records are in quantity and its all a game to get the best price. Their are people on ebay who have abox of one or two titles but only let one out every so often to give the impression of rarity when infact their is quantity. Is it honest? I dont know but its certainly not very moral!

Would it be acceptable to play a Uk brunswick red demo ?

That would be their version of 'Love Slipped Through My Fingers' LP only, never issued on a single. Oh Yes it was on a compass test press- Some on here has my old copy from the 70s The- you dont mean it was their first record on the compass 7015 label out of New york(2nd one was -its acryin shame7018 - predominantly a soul label but had some 60s pop records as well distributed in Uk either on London(helena ferguson) or Pye (Corby & Champagne)
