  5. hmm, an outbreak of common sense.
  6. i'd not seen that before i must confess ........ loved it, especially the DJ and bloke on speed!!
  7. i'm expecting a few nerves in a couple of weeks though .... we'll be playing warm up sets for paul weller (apologies to the weller haters here for mentioning him!) and ..... erm .... girls aloud. will be the biggest crowds i've played to (approx 7 - 10000 per gig). tend to get nervous too on the rare occasions i've been asked to play other clubs .... out of the comfort zone i suppose.
  8. early 90s for me ..... playing a few indie/britpop type tunes to warm up for a mates band. not really nervous about that. have been a few times since.
  9. i've got to admit i find it fascinating reading some of the squabbles .... how ridiculous grown adults can behave.
  10. last year at the iow festival each DJ that played in our marquee was asked to list the records they'd played. not a huge deal to be fair.
  11. cliff does a nice version .... well two actually i think, one on a live album ...... live at the talk of the town, including "ain't nothing like a house party": https://www.7digital.com/artists/cliff-rich...lk-of-the-town/

  13. well ...... we do a bit at the IOW festival. last year we had andy strickland (walls of heartache), eddie piller (acid jazz), dom cater (berts apple crumble), eneida fever (magic in the air club) and others spinning vinyl in our marquee. we found it a great atmosphere. not sure £200000 would cover the costs of arranging a festival though.

  20. Just a quick note about our new radio show. We're on FM now in Portsmouth and the South East of Hampshire as well as online. You can catch the show from 9pm - 10pm on Saturday nights @ 93.7FM (Portsmouth and South East Hampshire) or online @ https://www.expressfm.com/
  21. blimey ... this still going???? we use wristbands at some events and always order more than the exact number. you don't want to have too few. you sometimes have to replace some .... you sometimes have to give wristbands to all sorts of people that need to be in the venue but are not paying customers (guests, techies etc). they are not foolproof and i would have thought that most promoters who use them would realise that.
  22. pleased to say i also blagged ........ At the end of the specialist round you scored 8 You certainly know a great deal about The Temptations.
