  1. Nerves of steel, me.....i'll be panicking if i'm still 5th after 32 weeks, I have a reputation to upkeep...
  2. Never too early to wildcard....if it needs it....i'm planning to after this GW. Just want one more week of selections and the transfer window over
  3. I've toyed with having both Haaland and Salah, and just one ??? Still undecided.....Your's looks quite balanced, but Walker, Foden & Watkins are all slight doubts for GW1......great picks but maybe not match fit ??
  4. There's some quite big changes to the rules this time round, may benefit some of the more casual players. Able to carry over up to 5 transfers, previously just the two, and also able to carry those over after playing any chips. Plus a new chip available in January, currently a mystery what it will be ??? Haaland very expensive this time round, can you do without him ??? Bring it on, and good luck to all
  5. Sorry Dave, i'll try and be a bit rubbish this time....I really would like to see someone give me a run for my money this season...

  11. Hi all, i've got a biggish lot of early soul / r&b / blues magazines and fanzines i'm looking to sell. But before I go off to Ebay, I wanted to gauge some interest here first, anyone interested in any can contact me.....not really looking to sell as a job lot, I am more than happy to sell each individually or in lots of a title....also including some pictures of some one off things, a nice Motown label listing, some sheet music etc.....also got other mags covering Rock / Rock N Roll / Jazz / Pop / Label listings, if anyone's interest stretches that far...I'm looking for around £5 an issue for magazines listed below, message me if interested in any of the other one off items and we can find a price that suits....cheers Gareth Included is Black Wax - Issues 1, 3, 4, 5....two SOLD Souled Out - Issue 1 & 2 Hot Buttered Soul - 3 issues 33, 34, 38 Shout - 7 issues all SOLD Blues Unlimited- 4 issues 44, 46, 47, 48 plus a Beale Street USA special publication New Blackbeat - 4 issues 6, 10, 20....one SOLD Vintage Soul - Issues 1 to 16 plus 18, 19 & 20......one SOLD
  12. Any interest here in these 3 Vocalion demo's, i'm a bit out my comfort zone with these, so hoping that someone can help out with prices. Otherwise open to offers here, before I stick em up on Ebay. Each is a strong VG+ and play fine, clean labels aside from a 3 digit number stamped on each side (apart from flip of Popsicles), all are in a new white sleeve. Any offer I accept would include UK p&p, overseas can be arranged for cost.... Planning on listing on Ebay tomorrow, so i'll give it til then to see if there is any interest. Cheers Gareth
  13. Worth looking for a vinyl copy, my demo is but most issues ive seen are the dreaded 'styrene'...cheers Girth
  14. Fully expect to pay more than £20 Dave, been looking for one since walking in on Blake Helliwell spinning it it in the back room at Essence and everyone having a right good sing song....RIP the Raynescourt
  15. After a copy of Lorraine Johnson - If You Want To Be More Of A Woman on Atlantic issue, vinyl copy much preferred. Unsure on going rate, but I would be more than happy if someone were to offer up a copy at the price sold for on Discogs last year, the sum of £1.41....but failing that, if anyone has a spare or a copy they are happy to let go. Doesn't have to be Mint, a nice playing copy would be fine....message me if you can help, thanks in advance, Girth

  18. I think this is quite a rare one. How much would you be offering ??
  19. Used to play the Jackson Sisters along side the Sisters Love, Give Me Your Love....again from 73 I think. Sounded so good together, and a guaranteed full floor....
  20. I'd go along with that John...
  21. It was a huge record and probably sold very well when it was reissued on Urban. Used to find it all the time, but not always in good nick. So must have been played alot. Pasadenas released a version in the 90s, someone else too ??
  22. I have wondered how it works if you can prove what you paid for it, and it was a greater amount than the sale price. I did have a conversation with a guy who deals in old digital watches, and he was having this problem. It was around the time that the PO started tightening up their claim system and we were discussing doing exactly as you say, having the buyer claim, because they had proof of purchase and more likely the greater amount. He was in the process of trying to claim for a watch he had sold for £750, but had paid over a grand, a year or so previous - and he had the bill. I haven't seen him since, and never found out the outcome, but the PO had refused to pay the greater amount, and he was arguing the toss. Girf
  23. Sold items noted, list updated........cheers Gareth
