T'other night at Soulfusion Mart Taylor (Glawster on here) showed me a nice Wilmer and the Dukes "Give me one more chance" Aphrodisiac W/D used as extra packing. not particularly rare but nice, especially gratis!
Am I correct in thinking that bootleggers couldn't handle more than two colours at that time? I'm sure I read that somewhere (pauses for someone to shoot me down... )
You're not alone...I stupidly thought that someone had stuck it on themselves, thinking there was a w/d of it, so peeled off the sticker and used it to cover a label tear on a Vala Reegan demo - and there it still is!
Re the Isleys "My love is your love" mentioned earlier in this thread - check the recent "Motown Anthology" CD which contains the mono version of this, a different take, different instrumentation, different song structure...still good though!
Still a good post Mikey - and I know what you mean about passing places, if I go through Yate on the train I have to have a stomper on my headphones, and I've only just got out of the habit of getting a tingle down the spine just near J14 on the M5 (the turn off to many a great night!)
Hippo.
Having just tracked through the album (Dave's just hand - delivered it to the studio!), very nice indeed, several good mid-tempo tracks and a couple of nice slow jams to play on the show
