  1. You betcha!
  2. So now you're having a go at my usual 'going out' gear...?
  3. Wow that's a lot of explaining mate. By the time you posted all that I'd kind of sussed it for myself and the job's done now. Really do appreciate your help though - above and beyond! Cheers Paul
  4. That's what I was hoping. Don't think I'll worry too much about it being seen on the UK site - I reckon anyone with any sense checks the US one more often. Ta to you and Quinvy. Now, does anyone know how to get rid of swirly box...?
  5. Thanks Dylan. Do you know if your items showed on the .co,uk site and do you think it matters? Actually this could be academic anyway - I hit the 'change location' button just to see what would happen. What happened is that I got a swirly box that won't open properly and it looks like I'm going to lose my work anyway now. Serves me right for messing!
  6. Thanks for that mate. I'm definitely on the ebay.com site. I've ticked worldwide shipping and have tried with either the $4 shipping or changing it (you can despite $4 appearing in bold) No joy either way though - still saying .com only. Puzzling.
  7. Hi all Not sold on US ebay for years - last time was with my old account for which I lost the details when I packed in selling there ages ago. I'd like to have a go with my current account as the UK site seems to be a bit of a dead loss. I've almost got an item listed but I'm note sure about (i) shipping and (ii) visibility. Are they linked? At the moment I've tried using a flat rate to all buyers from the drop down list or alternatively making it vary depending on location. Either way I get a notice saying the item will show on the US site only. I have 100% posotive feedback in the hundreds but all from the UK site so not sure if that's anything to do with it? Should I just forget about the UK site on the assumption that everyone checks the US one anyway? Thanks in advance for any help
  8. Bit of a shot in the dark, but if anyone has a copy of this drop me a line by PM or email to: mistergodzilla@yahoo.com Tommy Falcone & Centuries - Like Weird / Ship to Shore - Design I'll pay £25 for a decent play copy or will trade a soul record up to £30 value Thanks

  10. Dan Folger - Go On Back - Hickory Promo - £46 Price includes world wide shipping. That's recorded in UK Paypal only. PM please or email to mistergodzilla@yahoo.com If You check Popsike and do a search on this site you'll find that his other Northern Soul 45 (Way of the Crowd on Elf) shows up much more often. Go On Back is a bit more uptempo with great backing. Clip taken direct from 45 - no filters or enhancement - Have a listen Strictly graded VG++ as I can see a faint mark (that's EX or M- by most standards - see grading notes below or PM anyone who has bought from me). ** please note - if sold and paid for before 11.50 today I can mail this morning ** Folger Go On Back.mp3 I'm now using the grading system recommended by this site as below. This means that a VG+ record will look and sound nice and won't be a piece of trashed vinyl with a coating of wishful thinking! I've also added scans and clips to give an even more accurate idea. M- As good as it gets, practically an untouched record that plays as if it were brand new store stock VG++The odd barely discernible surface mark or minor blemish, nothing that will affect play in any way. VG+ A few more marks or light scuffs than a VG++ record but still sounds fine for listening and/or DJing. No scratches.Light surface wear. A used but far from abused copy. VG Scuffs and light scratches throughout, most can't be felt. Expect some surface wear throughout the record with light surface noise and possibly a few pops in places. Should still serve as a suitable player copy for listening & DJing. VG- The record may have some scratches that will be deep enough to feel. Audible clicks and pops are likely consistent throughout the grooves.Expect noticeable noise throughout, NO SKIPS though.
  11. Put 'hamster' in the search box Shute - should be quite a few mentions of rare original and difference between them and the boots
  12. Cecil Garrett maybe?
  13. I suppose if you were to strictly stick to your rules people could post scans in this thread. That could potentially detract from the whole point of the blog though.
  14. Please note - I only intend to sell one of these records - as soon as the first one goes the other 45 will be removed from sale. Jack Montgomery - Dearly Beloved / Do You Believe It - Scepter Promo M- £235 SOLD Maybe the best double sider ever? Flawless copy. Check popsike to see plenty of poorer condition copies got for $200+ Roger Hatcher - Sweetest Girl In The World - Excello Promo VG+ £145 Sale withdrawn. There's two seconds of noise on the intro and from then on an very nice play copy. Again, a good price on this one Prices includes signed for/insured delivery anywhere in the world. Paypal only please - no extra charge. PM or email: mistergodzilla@yahoo.com Montgomery Beloved.mp3 Hatcher sweetest.mp3

  15. It's been a $5 record for years and years - although that might change now of course.
  16. Yeah - he invented Drum 'n Bass music!
  17. That's the one. Got stuff like the VIPs on it. I think from recollection my favourite track was Go Away Baby by Alex Harvey.
  18. I have one somewhere Pete and I'd be up for swaps. Let me know if you're interested. Cheers Paul
  19. Great choice Suz. That's the 45 that sprung straight into my mind as soon as I saw that Fontana was label of the week
  20. One thing I've noticed is the attempt by one solitary member of Soul Source to rename the scene "The Northernsoul scene". To be honest, I actually admire his perseverance in the face of complete disinterest from the rest of the known universe
  21. Really enjoying this Pete. In fact I just tried to post comment on the Doctor Who record but unfortunately I don't have any of the accounts you need to make a post.
  22. You are James Trouble back from purgatory and I claim my five pounds prize money.

Shipping is £1.00 1st Class or £1.80 Recorded Delivery for up to 2 x 45s Worldwide £2.50 overseas + insurance if required. Combined shipping available if you buy more than one record PAYPAL only please. All prices are GB pounds. Anyone who has bought from me before will know that I grade strictly - more info below. I'm happy to provide further MP3 clips, more scans. Questions etc are as always welcome by PM or email to: mistergodzilla@yahoo.com Rivingtons - Tend to Business - Columbia Promo - M- 40 SOLD Spare copy for sale as I wouldn't be without one in my collection. Heartbreakingly perfect midtempo soul with the great Ashord and Simpson beat ballad 'A Rose Growing in the Ruins' on the flip. Beautiful condition copy that was probably unplayed until I recorded the clip. Rivingtons.mp3 Strangers - Night Winds - Warner Bros Promo - VG 45 Panavision Wide-Screen soul with a terrific arrangement courtesy of Leroy Glover and the gorgeous, doo wop style vocals of Richard Pitts. Graded a strong VG due to a little label wear and some surface marks that don't affect play - as you can tell from the soundcip Strangers.mp3 The Three Sounds - It Was a Very Good Year - Blue Note - VG+ 20 If you like the Della Reese version version but don't know this one be sure to check the clip. This mod-jazz instrumental take uses a very similar arrangement and is great to drop as something a bit different. Down graded to VG+ because of some label wear and a BB hole. The playing surface has only the lightest of marks. Three Sounds.mp3 Don Varner - I Can if You Can - House of Orange - VG+ 30 A southern flavoured dancer that is is a lesser known track from this great artist. Nice and glossy but a few visible scuffs so graded accordingly. The funky, psych-tinged flip, 'That's all Right', has a small name on the label and a few discerible pops but nothing that overwhelms the music. Don Varner I Can.mp3 PJ Proby - You Can't Come Home Again - Liberty (Australia) VG++ 15 Here's one for collectors of the more odd and exotic records played on the Northern scene. The a side is a cover of hank Ballard's 'Work With Me Annie' while tucked away on the flip is this Motown styled stomper arranged by Arthur Wright and bellowed by big-voiced Proby. To add to the oddness it's an aussie copy with a neat company sleeve. Would have been NM apart from some label marks and there's a small tear to rear of sleeve. Proby.mp3 I'm now using the grading system recommended by this site as below. This means that a VG+ record will look and sound nice and won't be a piece of trashed vinyl with a coating of wishful thinking! I've also added scans and clips to give an even more accurate idea.
