  2. Gettin' tempted. Carry on. G
  3. Always did my napper in, even when I was a teenager "Oh, I'm into Northern - Aretha and Otis and James Brown are all commercial rubbish" I still can't listen to Spanish Harlem without getting a shiver Godz
  4. Not selling and I'll have to hide it or there will be some explaining to do to Mrs G. Just like when I bought that Peters and Lee album cos there's a great version of "Comin' Home Baby" on it, in fact Godz
  5. Me neither Ged - or on lists / eBay - that's why I asked Godz

  9. CLB - I Couldn't Last A Day Without Your Love - Golden Chariot Any idea of current value please? Note to self - buy one of those guides you cheapskate - but which one??? Godz
  10. It's a shame Peer Gynt and the soundtrack to South Pacific and worth anything - I'd be a millionaire. Godz
  11. And here's the list from AMG. It's not definitive though, as you can see it doesn't mention Baby Washington. George Benson Charles Earland Aretha Franklin Little Willie G. La lupe Jimmy McGriff Liza Minnelli Barbara Morrison Big John Patton Esther Phillips Dusty Springfield Supremes Livingston Taylor Godz
  12. Dusty - great version! Godz
  13. Here's the back cover of the CD Chris. It would seem that Rodney Bewes was a member of her band - didn't know that. There's a nice version of her "You Never Come Closer" by my current favourite Scandinavian group. Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band. Eclectic Godz
  14. Here's the back cover of the CD Chris.
  15. Damn - forgot that one. Towa produced Kylie's GBI (German Bold Italic) - don't know if it's a 12" though as I only have an MP3 Am I thrown off here yet? Godz
  16. I can Pete. It's not a run of the mill soul song - in fact, if it's not what you're used to hearing it can be a bit of a challenge. Still there are plenty of those "Collection of 16 Big Hits" Motown comps that are nice and safe Godz (legging it in case he's taken seriously...)
  17. Yep. I was there with mates Tan and Hovis from Oldham. I'm sure I remember DJs announcing warnings about "Backstreet Blues". Think we saw about three people keel over - scary times. Except it wan't because we were 16/17 and indestructible. Idiots. Godz
  18. BRA? - Bentley Rhythm Ace? - Top band! Godz
  19. I think it's on a CD called Northern Soul of Jamaica or something like that. Just about to send a PM Cheers, Godz

  21. I think I have a clip among many of the files that need transfering from my other Mac (I'm so lazy...) If no one else throws one up I'll see what I can do later tonight. Godz
  22. Aki Aleong - Giving Up On Love? Godz
  23. If you mean Towa Tei, he used to be one third of Deee-Lite of "Groove is in the Heart" fame. There are at least two solo albums one of which has some nice tracks with Bebel Gilberto singing. Maybe not for this forum though... Godz
  24. Arrgh - I dunno then. Something by the Avons maybe?? I'm sure there was something that was a bit out of the ordinary and a few quid on 45... Doing my napper in now. Godz
