Here's the back cover of the CD Chris. It would seem that Rodney Bewes was a member of her band - didn't know that. There's a nice version of her "You Never Come Closer" by my current favourite Scandinavian group. Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band. Eclectic Godz

I can Pete. It's not a run of the mill soul song - in fact, if it's not what you're used to hearing it can be a bit of a challenge. Still there are plenty of those "Collection of 16 Big Hits" Motown comps that are nice and safe Godz (legging it in case he's taken seriously...)

Yep. I was there with mates Tan and Hovis from Oldham. I'm sure I remember DJs announcing warnings about "Backstreet Blues". Think we saw about three people keel over - scary times. Except it wan't because we were 16/17 and indestructible. Idiots. Godz

If you mean Towa Tei, he used to be one third of Deee-Lite of "Groove is in the Heart" fame. There are at least two solo albums one of which has some nice tracks with Bebel Gilberto singing. Maybe not for this forum though... Godz
