  1. Do you fancy standing in Scarborough, Shane? You'd get my vote Godz
  2. Can everyone see the same advert banner under this thread? Godz Edit: oops - Kitty Kat got there before me
  3. Yep. Scarborough Borough Council used to have a policy whereby the hirer had to have a million quids worth of insurance in place. Sounds scary but I think it only used to cost 40 quid or so. Without proof you couldn't hire the venues. Sounds very much like the club is trying to wriggle out of making a claim. Good luck with this, Mark Godz
  4. Bloody great tune that, Chunky Godz
  5. I refer you to my first post. Bow down and worship him lest you be slaughtered on the altar of Lavine as GLC once said: You knows it. Godz
  6. Could well explain a few things. Particularly my spolling Godz
  7. He was a genius. he consistantly spelled his name wrong and he invented Northern Soul and then improved it with synthesisers. He then improved disco and even Russ Winstanly couldn't do that. This is the truth. Ignore all the other replies to this post. They will be the ramblingings of jealous fools. Godz
  8. Ad Libs - Boy from New York City ... ...or more likely a million old blues records Godz
  9. Well that's one potential sale well and truly sabotaged. Cheers Chalks Godz
  10. All sorted now Shane. Feel free to delete. Thanks for your help. Godz
  11. Will do Shane. I'll give you a shout so you can move it to the nether regions of the site too. Cheers Godz
  12. Could the mods leave this here for a bit please while I sort my useless head out. Someone PM'd me a short while ago about the Custer's Last Band 45. One of our office windows blew shut with an almighty bang. I near enough jumped out of my skin and it appeared I hit delete on the PM I had just opened Would whover sent it please drop me another PM please and I'll try not to be such a dimwit this time. Alternatively, is there a way to recover deleted messages? Cheers! Godz
  13. Selling mate Thanks for price advice though Godz

  19. Could be. I had a Suzy Parker acetate for about two weeks in either 75 or 76. If I remember rightly the acetate was pretty quiet and not very well recorded. Memory is shaky but could Alan Rhodes have payed it a couple of times? So maybe it was Shirlie "wink wink" Matthews then Godz
  20. Just realised - it's Herb Sadler - not Campbell. I'm talking cack. Still, two Herb and Doris's with Detroit connections, eh? Who'd of thought it... Godz
  21. I thought Suzy Parker - Dance of Love (Bok to Bach) was earlier. You sure the missing one wasn't Dena "wink wink" Barnes - These Heartaches, which was an alternative vocal to Duke Browner inst, Mike? Godz
  22. Herb and Doris!!! How did they end up with the rights? Or perhaps the right question should be who exactly are they? And any chance of a photo to go with my signed copy of Somebody Somewhere Needs You? Cheers Godz
  23. Not disputing that, Wally. However, 1210s are around £320 upwards new. This piece of Kit works out around £215 and it has turntable, radio and a CD burner. Maths speaks for itself. And it IS damn ugly Godz
  24. It looks fcukin' horrible. There's plenty of advice in the techie area about recording from vinyl. The whole machine looks like the cheapest piece of cack ever. Wouldn't have one thrown at me Godz
  25. Well worth picking up, Ken. Three or four belters on side one Godz
