No, that's not what I said. Actually I didn't even see that you'd posted until I added my reply, so if you're being a tad sensitive because you think I was having a knock you're on the wrong track. It's on the LP. That's where I first heard it and I bet lots of other people will have done too, as many who bought the album for the two Northern tracks, or funkers after "It's A New Day" will also have heard the track. I only found out years later that "Didn't I..." was a single, but by then I really loved track. No idea what it goes for though.

Excellent track that everyone who has the LP will know.

I had a black and white vinyl promo. It was pretty heavy vinyl too I remember. Had it years before the renewed interest in the group's recordings and it was a bit beat and definitely orig.

Skullsnaps Boot - Who Knows The Latin Flip?
Godzilla replied to Godzilla's topic in Look At Your Box
Very good Pete You should have just said you knew and let it run a bit. Mind you that would have probably killed you Samba D' Jubilee if I remember right. I think it's only the flip of the Canyon one and the Vogue ones have something else (maybe). When you play them side by side the Skull Snaps one lacks brightness. In fact it sounds like it's dubbed of cassette, which would make it even more crackers! -
What nonsense you speak, Ken

Skullsnaps Boot - Who Knows The Latin Flip?

And some of you will have this - but from another source. Those bootleggers must have been completely off their heads when they were sorting this one out! -
Skullsnaps Boot - Who Knows The Latin Flip?
Godzilla replied to Godzilla's topic in Look At Your Box
There's a very strong Northern connection - but weird! -
There was a bit of chat in sales about the Skull Snaps "I'm your pimp" boot and the untitled Latin tune on the flip. I said it took me 20 years to suss what it was, (or something like that). Actually I think it's closer to 35 years as I bought a copy when I was kid and sort of knew but couldn't put my finger on it. So, does everyone know what it is and was I just a big numpty? Or will this do your heads in too? Let's see Numbskulls.mp3 ps - Mods, I know it's an MP3 but it's a very short clip and I'll take it down once resolved. Hope that's ok.

Found the tune. Clip in "up your box" in a moment
-
Play it Buey. It has the same track listed on both sides (as long and short versions if I remember correctly) but one actually plays a completely different tune

Wanted - Couple Of Intrumentals Matta Baby/subway Riders
Godzilla replied to Martint's topic in Record Wants
It's the backing track to "Only Your Love" Calla and also Pama (UK) -
Don't know if I've got one around at the mo. I'll have a look and if I find it I'll start a new thread in 'Look down your Boxers'
-
Damn - beat me to it Mark. Bet ya don't know what the flip is though
-
That's a boot mate. Never issued on 45. Took me about 20 years to figure out what the untitled Latin instrumental on the flip was too Godz
-
Sure is Mal. On a similar theme, well to my mind anyway, I just won this cheaply too: God, I'm on fire at the moment

Big on the Swiss yodeling scene I recall

Less than £25 off eBay too. Best birthday present in ages!

The US ABC copy is the studio cut. Live one is nice to but the Studio pips it definitely. Both are on the Jazzman 45 reissue. Love this tune and after being patient for a year or two, picked up a very nice UK HMV demo of the studio cut just in time for my Birthday last November. At a very reasonable price too. Makes a change

Do you mean unreleased on 45? It's on an LP for sure. "Shake, Rattle and Roll" maybe? Pretty certain I have that album somewhere.
