I just wanted to let you know that a seller on ebay is back, who ripped me off. His name is soul_bee. I bought a Ruby Sherry from him six months ago and the record is still not here. I've emailed to him very often, asking about my record and there was only one answer to my mails that he would ask at his post office about the record. After that mail I've heared nothing from him. Did he really ask or didn't he send the 45 out and why didn't he answer my mails??? So please beware as he is selling some expensive stuff like Herb Ward - Strange Change. Martin
-
It took me a little longer to find a second copy, even as I'm living in Germany. I would say yes, you got a bargain there
-
Yes, you're probably right Marc. But he also had in his item description something like "my last copy, sold the others to big name DJs". If I remember that right.
-
I think there were some more Fred Bridges on ebay over the last months. I've seen at least 2 by a seller called sixtiessoul. PS: If there are nomore offers till tomorrow evening, I'll put the 45 up on ebay. Martin
-
As far as I know, there is no US release on a 7", it's only released on a 7" in Germany and Portugal. I think it's on a Double L LP.
-
I was going to put that on ebay, but I decided to offer it firstly to the soul sourcers. So if someone is interested in this 45, just PM me an offer, as I'm not quite sure what to take @ set sale. I just know, that Carl Willingham paid about $120 last year to a friend of mine for it, but it was without a picture sleeve. Wilson Pickett - If you need me / Baby don't you weep - Liberty (Germany) Condition: Vinyl VG+ / Picturecover VG Listen to it @www.soulclub.org (There it's called "Baby don't weep for me")
-
Yes! You know what to bring with you! I'm invited to dj on friday and will stay all weekend long. Will you be there on friday, too? Martin
-
Yes it is the same version, but I don't have the money at the moment to pay 500 or 600 UKP. So I decided to get me the cheaper version, also I think the Lee Maye version is a little bit better. But when I get rich.. PS: You can listen to both versions at JM's site
-
Thanks for that Billy, so probably not this month. Back to topic: My record of the weekend is Ronnie Milsap - Total Disaster After searching for it at a responsable price for a while, I got it last week
-
Wow, just listened to it at the soulclub. Great taste Billy. I got to get me this LP, too, also the other tracks mentioned are pretty good. Has anybody a value for this LP and what is it called? Hopefully a poor student is also able to buy it.
-
Ah yes, I knew there was something. I heared that Nancy DJed there the last time. Is it worth travelling? Something diffrent: Ozi wanted to ask you about coming to N¼rnberg soulweekend in March, are you going to come?
-
Hi Marc! Isn't there also a new regular allnighter in Berlin called "Downtownsoulville" or something like that? cheers, Martin
-
The sound file of the flip is also under the above topic And yes, this record is fantastic!
-
I don't know, if it's on a CD, but I don't think so as it's pretty rare. If that helps, chalky has put up a sound file on this forum under the topic " Another Margret Little!". It must be a month ago or so. cheers, Martin PS: If you can't find it, I can send the soundfile to you, but it has a jingle in it.
-
Thanks for the information, so I won't buy from him in the future. I've never bought from him but some others on here have and they will probably have a call or something. I don't quite understand why you trusted him, as in his feedback it shows, that you bought some stuff from him in the past, that he delivered but then you knew it was him. It's always the same with this rip off sellers they try to get a few positive feedback and then they sell the big money records and don't send them out after they got paid for it. Like that asshole in spain that ripped me and some others on here off two years ago. You should visit him with some friends and ask politely about your records. I hope you can get your records somehow. cheers, Martin
-
I normally enjoy dancing (if you can call it that) to midtempo tracks, but the last time a friend of mine played THE MONTCLAIRS - HUNG UP ON YOUR LOVE at the Soulnight in N¼rnberg, I danced my soul out, and had to sit down some minutes after it. FANTASTIC !!!!!!
-
I've sold it to trevski a month or two ago. But I think of buying it back today, as it's a very nice record. I needed the money... It seems that the guy on ebay, who sells it has some of those, I've seen another one from him some weeks ago.

I've also voted for "you don't want me no more", but I'd like to add that the flip side "wait till I get you in my arms" is pretty good, too.

I didn't meet the reserve price, he offered it to me for more money than my bid was, so I said no. After some days he came back to me and told me, that my bid would be a contract, I have to pay the money I bid on it. I agreed and wanted to pay via paypal, as it still was a method of payment at his auction at that time. He said: "no, you can't pay via paypal, this method shouldn't show up anymore, you can send cash." Than I said: "no, your payment methods are part of the contract." He gave up, but told me to never come back to his auctions. That's what I really appreciate, I'll never come back to this top dealer!!
-
Me, too. A complete idiot! And another one: soul_bee , from Japan He sold me a Ruby Sherry, that never arrived. He told me that he would search after the record, but never came back to me with the results from his post office. I just got one email back from him, that's three months ago.

No easy question for me as I'm still pretty young and there is still very much to discover for me. But what about Susan Duffy - Look me over, as a new one in 2004, although it was recorded in the 90s ? Very nice tune, I think.
