    It all depends on the venue. I've been to big multi room allnighters where the crowd will all congregate just before Butch goes on stage. Then as soon as he plays his last record there's a mass exodus out of the room. The Dj's either side must have been devastated. It never happened when he worked for me. My regulars didn't want me to book the "big" names. He was always brilliant though.

    There called multiplex cinemas these days. Last time I went it was free entry if you bought their popcorn. Popcorn was £7 a go though.

    That's exactly what I was going to post Bearsy. Seriously though. Not many on this scene that I have total respect for, but Butch is one of them. The only Dj on this scene who has never let me down. If he takes a booking, he turns up and always earns his money with a top set. I hate sycophants, and I never blow smoke up anyone's a**e, he's just a very professional and cool guy.

    I was asking about the Del larks, I know that Mel Britt isn't a rare record it's just a case of supply and demand that makes it fetch big money. I have never had, or seen a Del larks. Didn't Sammy come over to the Uk a few years ago and bring 3? Demos with him to sell? I'm sure there was a big yahoo about it, everyone thought they were re presses and that the world was coming to an end.

    I'm all for young people getting into Northern. And I much prefer to see young people dancing [especially lovely young females ] than us OAP's. But like Pete said, find your own scene and fashion, don't just copy a hackneyed view of what the media have fed you. Take the music and leave the comedy clothing for the Teddy Boys.
