You wouldn't dare ride a scooter to Wigan or anywhere else in those days. They used to get stolen for fun back then. We once went on ours just up the road to Burnley Cats Whiskers and my mates scoot was vandalised. I had my Lambretta stolen twice from outside my girlfriends house. There was a huge black market in stolen scooters in those days.

Very much hard work, and bloody expensive at the top level. I just couldn't commit the time and money anymore. Thinking back now, I just lived for it and I wonder why I did it all? I think I have an obsessive disorder.
-
You must be pretty handy then Steve, they are a very good outfit. We probably never crossed poles as I fished in the Lancashire winter league, and fished for a Yorkshire team for years.
-
Bloody hell! I can't believe I get slated for a spelling error when there's some on here that can't put a cohesive sentence together. And I don't need any lessons on coarse fishing, I used to be a bit of a canal ace actually.
-
I've booked a full coarse of lessons. You lot better watch out once I've qualified.

Yes he did. Too f***ing fast for this child. It is a rare one though.

John Manship Auction Results 5 - 11 - 2014
Quinvy replied to JOE TORQUAY's topic in Look At Your Box
We all have different taste in music, and you are entitled to yours. I have never liked the record myself, it's never moved me. The Parisians version is a very messy production, and to my ears the Traditions version is far superior. The point I was trying to make is that the Parisians isn't that rare, and certainly not worth £2k. -

What gets me though Bearsy, Paul Shirley put a Traditions up for sale at £800 and got no takers. It's many times rarer and a much better version in my humble opinion. Bloody sheep. -

Quinvy replied to Ady Potts's topic in Record Sales
Tell you what Ady, that's some collection you had mate. Thing of beauty that. -
Eh? we were wearing one black glove in 1972.
-
Guy Hennigan would be a great source of information, as would Butch.
-
Just a great dance track, can't help but dance to it. Magic.

Quinvy replied to Raresoul45s's topic in Record Sales
How come I can never play your soundfiles? Is it because I am using a Mac? -
Luxury! we used to d-r-e-a-m of a paper round. We lived in a shoe box in't middle et road.
-
Exactly Pete. Surely people wore the fashions of the particular year.
-
If you hate it so much, why are you reading a thread about it? If you don't like it, duck off.
-
You need to let her know she is sat on a gold mine if she hasn't knackered it up. It's tragic what happens to some rare soul historical items.
-
What! make it into a clock! Are you serious? Was it the original acetate? Was there any information on the label?
-
It's just one of those records that has "it" in every department. No matter how many times I hear it, it never ceases to make me wanna dance.
