  1. I agree about the Blue Sharks, it's one of those Marmite records. But I've never seen a copy of the Gayletts, or ever heard it played.
  2. I don't understand that Mike. JM gets constant posts about his auction. Ady gets headline posts about the 100 club, as do Lifline etc. what's the difference?
  3. Exactly, never even seen one before Ted.
  4. How really dare you.
  5. Tim is a friend of mine, and I put his list up on this forum as a favour to him. But I very rarely get over to see him these days. I just looked at his latest auction though and was staggered at some of the 45's on there. I only wish I could afford to by a couple of them. I presume he has just bought a collection, as records of this caliber very rarely turn up these days. JM's auction has been a bit flat in the last few weeks [in my humble opinion] but it looks like Anglo American auctions are going to be very interesting for the next few months. I have just added the link in the ebay/website sales section. Have a look, see what you think.
  6. Wow! some real rarities on this one. Wish I had the money. https://www.raresoulvinyl.co.uk/auctions/
  7. I think the OP needs to give up the drugs. Plenty of copies about. And quite a few minty ones. There's very few truly rare records. The Internet has made that very obvious.

  15. Most of the events advertised as OVO mean that the music is played on vinyl. Trouble is not all of it is on the original. Therein lies the problem.
  16. Bloody hell! How does that work? I've never heard of that, and if you asked for a venue round these parts and said they had to pay you. Well I shudder to think what the consequences would be. Either laughed out or carried out I should think.
  17. What? You make a living out of Dj'ing?
  18. Sorry if I'm being dumb Kev. But isn't there a contradiction in your first line?
  19. Sorry, that's what I meant. They wouldn't give me a crime number because it was through ebay.
  20. The police won't help you, I tried that.
  21. Blimey! I've only ever seen it for sale once and it was very expensive.
  22. I never buy anything graded lower than VG+, but most VG+ records these days look like they have been dragged behind a car. Ex? don't make me laugh, this covers a multitude of sins. I don't expect a record with that grade to play with ticks and pops, but that's what you get these days. I very rarely buy anything now unless there is a sound file. I buy records to listen to them not look at them. You should always play grade them in my humble opinion.
  23. Don't worry the battle is being lost on a daily basis and it will soon be anything goes where ever you go.
