    Mp3 Wants

Anyboby got a 7" vinyl thingy of this for my old fashioned turntable pod? THE APPOINTMENTS "I SAW YOU THERE" DE-LITE Cash Waiting. Many Thanks, Phil.
  2. £500 actually
  3. Didn't do anything for me Nik Just very ordinary I.M.H.O. Phil.
  4. Soulgirl, Are you married? Cos if not I'd like to propose. I've agreed with all your comments and you are definately my kind of girl. I tell everyone that I'm not into modern. But as you said, there are a handfull of 70s records that are superb. Problem is they are dog rare and worth four figures, and the only DJs that have them all and can therefore do a good spot, are the Butch's, Mick H's, Soul Sams etc. What I'm saying is, that in my humble opinion, there aren't enough quality 70s tracks to make it worth while. I've gone to venues for years now, trying to find somewhere that plays quality, rare upfront 60s soul, from start to finnish. If I'm going to get sweaty dancing, then I don't want to be stood about shivering, waiting for another record that moves me. I've still not found one, though the Lifeline allnighters were by far the best. I was going to jack it in, disallusioned. But I've started my own night, and have a strict music policy. No spots for favours here. Only DJs that have the records, and that are ENTHUSIASTIC! and that actually dance to the music. Across the board music policy is ok, if you can get Butch to be a resident. I go out to hear music that makes me want to dance. You can listen to what you like at home, but don't expect me to spend my money and time listening to it.
  5. That wouldn't be YOUR home by any chance would it Chalky?
  6. Sorry Billy, must agree with Christian and Ted. Mate of mine has a mint copy of Jimmy Burns for sale or swap for other heavyweight item / items. He wants £3500 for it. Out of my league I'm afraid  Phil.
  7. Had any luck with that Frankie & the Damons track Billy? Fcuking fantastic, would like one myself. I bet Ted's got one. Phil.
  8. I can only agree, this is not the place to sell 45s, unless they are big ticket items. Most of us on here are chasing the same mega rare tunes that we all love. Supply and demand. Phil.
  9. Yeh, he's also got ROZAA - MY BABY KNOWS BEST - ANTONE at £75 I'll take as many copies of that, that anybodys got. That book should start with the words, ONCE UPON A TIME, cos' it's full of fairy tales. Phil.
  10. NO, NO NO, He had at least six copies. I bought the first two that were on ebay £220 - £230 if my memory serves. I sold one on John Manships auction for £530 and kept the other. The last couple he sold were at the cheaper prices that you quote, cos a mate of mine got one, sub £200. Phil.
  11. Hi, did you sell the EL ANTHONEY? would be interested if not. Best Regards, Phil.
  12. There was one for sale on these very pages last week for £1200. The seller has had 3 copies. A very ordinary record I.M.H.O. Butch must have a buyer for it, cos he's got one. Well, I've heard him play it a few times anyway. Phil.
  13. This happened to me Mike, you have reached the limit on your credit card. I had to put another card on my account to cover it. Or you may be able to increase your credit limit on your current card. Either way you've been buying too much vinyl, stop it. Phil.
  14. BUGGER
  15. £800, that's what I sold mine for. Tim Brown sold one for £750 the same week. Forget all the ideas of getting one cheap. Demand is high and supply is short = high price. The few that turned up have long gone. Phil.
  16. This is the original release without the fog horns. Seen loads of copies on up down, but none of these. And this version is better I.M.H.O.

  18. And the sound quality is crap.
  19. I'm pretty sure John Manship had mine, could be worth a phone call, he may still have it. Best Regards, Phil.
  20. Absolutely right macca, that driving beat ep. I sold mine a while back, complete with juke box title cards. Picture of train on cover, nice item but never played it. Phil.

    Wanted

Sorry to have to say this, but have about the same chance of getting all these records, as you have of winning the lottery. Would love most of them myself, along with hundreds of others. 8-10 grands worth there me thinks. Good luck though. Phil.
  22. That's not the case Ted, all John's auction prices are on his computer. In fact all his transactions are on his data base, and thats how he gets the info for his price guides. If you phone him and ask one of his employees about any auction item, they will tell you, no problem. Best, Phil.
