  1. Been looking for the Chuck Jackson - What's with this loneliness for ages, never seen one for sale. Don't know the tune but have been assured that it's fantastic. Sound file anyone please
  2. Thought it was out of order actually.
  3. Yes it is Carl Underwood, thought it was a very good looking label. What I actually said was, and I quote "I'm not that keen on it" think there's a subtle difference there Joan. What I meant was I wouldn't buy it, that's all.
  4. So any ideas? Never see it for sale. Must be rare?
  5. Bazza, the people from darn sarf have been the saviours of the scene. The 100 club is still considered to be the no.1 allnighter in the country. Those records on your playlist, well some of em, are classics. But just how many times can you get excited about hearing them. Come on don't you want to hear something and say, WOW WHAT WAS THAT, I MUST FIND OUT. That's what it's all about to me, and always has been.
  6. Thought you were asking for examples.
  7. Rex Garvin - Sock it to 'em JB Mel Williams - Can it be me Mickie Champion - What good am I Earl Wright - Thumb a ride
  8. There's 11 tunes in Trevskys set that I'd be up dancing to. I would have gone home half way through the other set. I'm actually not keen on the three tunes that you have picked out. There's a few people on this site that have got a problem with the price of records. I don't set the prices of records, but if I like something enough, I'll buy it if I can. I keep saying this, if you can send me a tape/CD with cheap records on, that are as good as the big ticket rarities then please do so. I'd love to hear them.
  9. If you owned that lot Trevski you could retire. That set would be worth a fortune. And you'd get a spot anywhere. The other guy's set is totally played out I.M.H.O
  10. That's fantastic sound quality for a tape. You could deffo get a good playable cut off that.

  12. I am trying to catch up Joan, thats why I asked for the soundfile. Trouble is, now I've heard it, I'm not keen on it at all.
  13. Sorry Simon, think there's a Stuart T on here and got confused.

  23. Yep! just re-read the old cover up thread, and Ged Parker & Chalky put it to bed perfectly last time out. I.M.H.O. If you play a great tune that's unknown, you will get other DJ's rushing up to the stage to look at the label, and demanding to see it. That's a fact. It happens everytime. In fact I do it myself. Long live the C/U, and long live the rare soul scene. Phil.
