  1. Oh, I was told it was the other way round. Are they the same number ? Mine was the red & white label, but I sold it a couple of years ago. I'm sure Butch said his was the red & white label when I asked him a while back. Maybe Mr. Manship could shed some light on't subject?
  2. Would be a pleasure to buy you a pint anytime Baz. Now then, what did I do with that wallet......
  3. Just ordered my copy Baz, and I look forward to browsing through it when it arrives.
  4. Sorry Tony, it just feels that way to me. It's the same thing with Anthony & the Delsonics, I just can't bloody find one.
  5. Arghhhh, you've added some more. You will never get quality rare tunes like these by asking on here. We've all tried it, and failed miserably. You need to be more specific about about the information you require. ie. label, price, availability etc. I think you have a good chance of getting the Gene Woodbury 45. Try ringing round the big dealers, the other side is pretty good too if remember correctly... The Little Tommy is harder in my opinion, and when one does come up for sale, is snapped up. Expect to pay £800 for a minter. The Sonny Herman is impossible. And so many chasing it you will be extremely lucky to get one, period. I hope that helps.
  6. BRILLIANT Ged how you doing?
  7. There was one on J.M's auction the other week Pete went for £3775 Personally does nothing for me.
  8. Yes, it's fantastic, and I want a copy. Thought I had it the other week, but the b*****d decided to keep it.
  9. I've actually got a copy Mik, I just wanted a mint one. Kevin said he would give me first refusal when I saw it in his sales box. Then sent me an email saying he'd put it on ebay ? So just me and every other collector in the world then. I've had a second chance offer on it , but it could be a scam. If I do get a minter, I'll give you first refusal on my copy. Err BEFORE I put it on ebay.
  10. --> QUOTE(C.B @ Oct 22 2006, 02:23 PM) link By all means - it's a quality 60s soul record and all. But is it really THAT good? Any opinions? Am I the only one who think that it ain't really that special? More like a "cult" record for collectors perhaps Just curious what you all think. I'm with you mate, it's never done it for me personally.
  11. Thought you were gonna give me first refusal on it. I was second on it by the way.
  12. I agree Chalky, never just scatter flyers about the room. Should be near the entrance/ exit, and/ or given out to people. Venue owners and staff hate them being scattered around, they have to clear them up.
  13. BRILLIANT! I love it.
  14. I love them both, think I heard John Weston play it at Middleton a while back, the smoother version has the fantastic sax break. It went pretty cheap on John Manships auction a while ago, would have loved to buy it, but skint as usual.
  15. SAINTS - I'LL LET YOU SLIDE - WIGWAM FANTASTIC
  16. Three hundred squid each for M-
  17. Supply and demand mate. I wanted it so I bought it. Then there was one on ebay and that fetched £500. It only takes someone to play a lesser known track out, and a few DJ's hear it and think, wow what's that, and bingo it becomes a hot item and the price goes up. Pat & the Blenders for example
  18. It's a funny old game ain't it. I think I paid £450 for mine.
  19. You're raving Ken. September Jones very common and this one is VG. Headlines rarer and in m- condition. Wish you'd sold it me for £100. When was this 1989?
  20. I thought your name rang a bell, I think I have bought off you in the past. Welcome to Soul Source. Phil.
  21. Are you actually into Soul music Joey? or are you just making an enquiry on the 45? Have I bought off you on ebay, name rings a bell? Back on the subjact of the Oxford Nights. I've never actually seen one of the glossy label copies. They must be rarer than the originals.
  22. You should get in touch with that Lil Peddler guy on ebay. He seems to have aquired a lot of the Delphi stuff. From the label owner or something?
  23. That man Lil Peddler has quantity, but nobody will touch them now. I have been told that the copies that he has sold ARE as original ie. matt label and the MUSIC CITY stamp. But what's the point in buying when you don't know how many copies there are. On the same note, I see there are plenty of Clara Hardy's for sale on ebay. I'm getting sick of hearing it now. Everywhere I go. Never liked it personally. Phil.
