  1. Yep, sorry, just put it on. I knew there was something about it, the whole compilation is fine EXCEPT for Kell Osbourne - Quicksand, which sounds as though it was recorded straight of a very rough 45. Phil.
  2. Sure I've got this somewhere, the sound quallity is crap if I remember correctly. I think you will find, with rare soul, that the tunes you enjoy at home, sound completely different when you hear them played out. And vice versa, the tracks you have discounted as not your to taste will jump up and bite you when played out. CD's are great, but you really need to get out into the atmosphere to truely understand what this music is all about. A lot of tunes sound nothing played at home, but stick em on at 1200 watts in a large dark room filled with like minded souls, and WHOE!!!!! I think to most people it's like a journey. Most prefer the Motown and more comercial type sound when they first get into "THE MUSIC" but then move on to the harder sound with less production with time. Welcome to THE scene Kevin. Phil.
  3. Just sold mine on ebay a few weeks ago, no one seemed to want it on here.
  4. Blimey, I think you're over reacting there Glynn. I didn't have time to check out everything on your site, but I'm always drawn to playlists in case there's something I've never heard before. So that's what I listened to. If you had wanted feedback on certain items, you only had to ask. Phil.
  5. No offence Glynn, but your dj spot is a nice oldies compilation, but nothing new or interesting for anyone that has been around a long time like us on here mate. Just my humble opinion you understand. Best, Phil.
  6. Sold them both on here a while back, think I sold D.C. too cheap at £300 for the demo.
  7. Is it the same one as Pete Smith has been selling for yonks?
  8. I'd like to hear it, have you got it?
  9. Thanks Pete, a real shame about the background noise, clicking and popping but beggers can't be choosers. The Milton James sounds absolutely brilliant played out, one of my faves to dance to. Phil.
  10. Arabians here Steve. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/searchartist....IANS&Format= They are all fairly common on ebay and set sale. If you ring round the main dealers I think you might get lucky. Phil.
  11. vinyl = heavier more flexible with molded over label. styrene = light, brittle, tinny sounding, cracks easily, stick on label
  12. fantastic analogy
  13. Henry Atkinson has one for sale. Tel. 01724 357147 or 07788 652004 Phil.
  14. Come on Paul, tell them where the action is. Friday 23rd February. If they don't enjoy it, I'll give them their money back. Phil.
  15. There you go Neil, get in touch with Ken, Sorted.
  16. £50 Ken
  17. You need to start looking in my sales box Neil, I just sold one mate. Sent the sound files to Kev & Geoff. Best Phil.
  18. WOW! That lady is fantastic. I always wanted to see the musical. I'd love to hear Miss Holliday singing some quality material.
  19. Bloody hell Neil, they are way too cheap. If I didn't already have the Masqueraders I'd bite your hand off. You can't be short of money after that pile I gave you. I'm saving up to come over again soon. Phil.
  20. I heard the same story Joan.
  21. I'm waiting with baited breath Steve, have I bought a reissue?
  22. Did you shift them then Dan?
  23. It didn't sell Joan, it didn't make it's reserve.
