  1. And just to rub salt in the wound, the other side is even better.
  2. Never mind everyone else Chalky, did you manage to find THIS yet please mate?
  3. Who owns the disc now?
  4. OK, this should get a reaction. Talc, I was always a big believer in it, and I used to get very upset when various venues banned it. OK, it made a mess on the floor, but hey, just stick the old vac on it ,and no problemo. Or so I thought........ Last Friday I had my Burnley Allnighter on at The Falcon, in Burnley of course. Now I always leave a couple of containers of Johnsons finest on the stage, so that dancers can help themselves...... Had a fantastic night, and everything went well........ Saturday lunch time I get a phone call from Gary [who runs the Falcon], the conversation goes something like this, "hello" hello Phil it's Gary from the Falcon here. "Hello mate, what can I do for you" I've just had my cleaner going ape shit here. "oh, why what's the problem mate" it's the bloody talc Phil, it is literally everywhere. We are going to have to clean everything, the bar the optics, the glasses, every single surface in the room is covered in white.... It smells bloody lovely, but the mess is unacceptable...... So I went over, and in the cold light of day, the scene was bloody shocking. And his being upset was very understandable. So what do I do? I'm going to have to ban talc or lose the venue. Has anyone else had this problem, and found an alternative? I also had a shock when I was checking my gear. The decks, mixer, and worst of all, the inside of the amps were all white with talc. Just thinking about how much we are breathing in, it can't be doing us any good.... Your thoughts, opinions, and advice please. Phil.

I just found this. Always thought she had a really soulful voice, but this just shows what a fabulous looker she was too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzvalU_XL5I...ated&search=

This is the same guy I warned you all about last time these two records were for sale. His grading is very suspect, and he wouldn't refund my money on the 45 that I bought off him. I'll bet these records were returned by the buyers. I'm telling you, he ain't a nice guy, and I won't do business with him ever again. DODGEY!!!!

Just get the buyer to send back the record. Otherwise do nothing. If it comes back then re-emburse him/her. And next time send special delivery, or recorded.

--> QUOTE(Mike B @ Apr 20 2007, 11:30 PM) link To be honest Nev I can't see the prices these sell for being ficticious - its no secret John charges fifteen percent to auction your records and the majority of the records he auctions are not his but other peoples, there would be no point in him 'creating a price' because it would mean he would earn nothing from the sale, which would have already used up some of his webspace for the previous three weeks or so. Since John started bringing out his books he really has become a global brand name and probably attracts more people to his site than anyone else. Certainly I know who some of the bidders are on his auctions even when they have usernames and they are genuine collectors. The other thing is that John will take trades against auction items so some bidders will go higher than usual because of the trades they can put in against the final price.... just my take on it all! Cheers Mike Absolutely right Mike. I have both bought and sold records off John's auction, and have been very happy with the service. Totally straight. Phil.
  22. No worries for getting in Brian, I'll make sure that you get a card anyway, it's just an aid for the door staff.

One of my favourite of Butch's one off spins. Don't think anyone else has it. Gorgeous tune.
