  1. Just going off topic a bit Kev. What sort of size is that room? I've never been to Stoke. I'm off to email Butch now and ask him for a spot.
  2. YES!!!!!!! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT..... thanks Paul, look out Kev Roberts.
  3. I got some old cassette tapes off Cliff Camfield a couple of months ago, and this tune was on one of them. Must have been about for quite some time. I think Cliff was playing it out in Scotland, early nineties???? I'm sure he said it was the Moniques? Don't know what label his acetate was on. I'll ask him tomorrow. Phil.
  4. All details are here. /Allnigh...010-t64425.html Hope that helps.
  5. Just trying to imagine what would happen if all the small events around the country closed their doors, and we had just say three big allnighters that we all attended. Say Stoke for us up north, one in Scotland, and maybe one in the deep South..... Obviously they would have to be multi room affairs, because we are all less tolerant than we used to be. But looking at what's happening, with low attendances and less people actually dancing. The big social gatherings seem to be the only events that are doing well. I must admit that when I read that Mr Roberts is going to start a rare room at Stoke, I was thinking that my days of promoting could be numbered. Think about it, if done properly it could make people attend Stoke that wouldn't normally dream of going. And people are definitely going out less, and picking their nights out very carefully..... It would be disastrous for the record dealers though, there would be big ticket records for sale everywhere. What do you think?
  6. It's the fact that they can just take money out of your account at will that pisses me off. That should be against the law.
  7. What happens Richard is, though the Jack Montgomery is a fantastic record, it's been hammered to death for donkeys years, and there's one on ebay every week. Therefore anyone who wanted a copy, surely will have got one by now. On the other hand, the Limitations was as you say a Stafford cheapie. But many people were off the scene then [myself included] so as this has been reactivated recently at the more discerning allnighters, it's become a must have newie to a lot of returnees [again myself included] it's just that everyone's a DJ, and we all want to play something different. [i include myself again]. Plus there's more buyers for 45's up to £500 than there are for £1k+ items, so competition is fiercer. Phil.
  8. That's where mine went.
  9. Here's what you need to do my friend. For more information on payment agreements, go to the PayPal website and click Help in the upper right corner. Then type "payment agreements" in the search box. That's how I cancelled mine. I have also opened a dispute with paypal to try and find out what the hell it was all about. Maybe try and get my money back. I don't use ebay uk anymore. As usual with everything it's rip off Britain. Far better to sell your 45's on the us site. Only problem I had with this is you can't alter the postage to u.s buyers. So I wrote in huge red letters on the discription that all buyers should contact me for postage. The U.K. winners all paid the proper postage. Not one of the U.S. ones did.
  10. I find it incredible how ebay operate. I sold a few on ebay a while ago, and I got an email saying ebay selling fees for this month, and they had just taken the money out of my account. I thought nothing of it. Then the month after, I got the same email, and the same result, but I had sold a record for a mate, so I didn't question it again. Then this month I got it again... ...but I hadn't sold anything????? When I looked into it, they said I had agreed to some sort of monthly payment???? What the fook for? I put a stop to the agreement, but as usual they had already taken the money out of my account. That's £30 x 3months for what? Bloody ridiculous...how can they just take money out of your account like that?
  11. MELVIN DAVIS for me, everytime.
  12. Been after a Poets myself for an age. Just missed the one on here last year.
  13. It was me that played it Salmon. Unfortunately, I had to sell it with my other stuff in January. It is rare, but luckily all the copies seem to belong to regular DJ's, so it gets played out a lot. Definitely a £2k tune nowadays. Phil.
  14. Only just got round to listening to this, but agree that the Contours track sounded excellent. I have never heard it played out, but I would love a cut of it.
  15. Here's a few of my faves.... This looks hand drawn as does this one ] Just found this on ebay. Very colourfull
  16. I think the issue is much harder than the demo.
  17. BLOODY HELL!!! I've only just sorted out this years..... I would like to propose a change of days of the week. We need at least 2 Saurdays in a week, 1 ain't enough. I would love to go back to Saturdays as I'm not doing well on Fridays...
  18. Peavey GPS 3400 Amps...these are real top quality amps in beautiful condition. I haven't even used them myself, as I was putting together a high spec system, but redudency forces sale. They are in brand new Road Ready flight cases that cost over £100 each. I will split or sell all together. £500 each in case. Here's the link to Peavey's site. This is the bargain of the year.... https://www.peavey-eu.com/pop_product.php?f...=UK&key=189 PM me if interested. Phil.
  19. A copy here Tony...... https://cgi.ebay.com/VG-1966-Charles-Thomas...1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. That sounds very true to me Mark...and I did spit my cup of tea all over my keyboard when I read the last paragraph....
  21. I think the felt pen on the label had a lot to do with the price Pat.
  22. Very good, I enjoyed reading that....I never realised that the oldies thing started so far back. Hard to believe, when you consider the quality stuff that was still being discovered at that time, and after, with the Stafford era etc.
  23. Very easy to tell when you have it in your hand. Bit tricky on ebay like.....anyone ever seen a demo of this? does it exist? would love to see a scan if it does.....a bit like the Martha Star-Love is the only solution- white demo, would also love to see. ...
