Two issues of the lp Pervis Lee -Leeway and Pervis Lee -Himself. The last couple on Ebay have gone for around £280, I've watched them longingly as they soared out of my budget. An outstanding piece of music, dripping with soul , poignant lyrics, a superb jazz break as opposed to a boring sax riff so prevalent in many soul tunes.

The Glasgow Jazz Festival gig was a very special evening. The relaxed, family feeling of friendship from Bill, his wife and cohorts who had come over for the gig permeated the whole venue. Explaining the culture where they came from and, at the end,giving everyone strings of carnival beads as momentos of their visit, has stayed as a very special memory of mine . A true Gent.

And what a night it is too, great crowd, cheap beer ( for Copenhagen ) and a sweatbox !
