  1. It is, and red ones are demos, but Micks above is South African
  2. Been asked to reduce this a bit so now 1600 before it goes away
  3. George Jay now £450
  4. Mick, that is fantastic - but I reckon that's a 1976 release to coincide with the European ones!
  5. I've only ever had one copy of the Imperial release. It's very rare. I think we've mentioned this on here once before a long time ago. I don't think the London release is as rare as people think, I've had four or five issues and two demos and thats only when I actively went after it
  6. I think I've got a UK Stax demo of this as well. Might be wrong. To be honest, I've never even heard it!
  7. I've never played a set without playing Monique - that tempo is great - I'm talking about your George Freeman "Down And Out" type records which a snail could keep up with
  8. Thanks everyone
  9. If so would he mind ringing me 01902 893569 thank you
  10. Jolly good. £10 off me.
  11. Someone did a repro of the EP on coloured vinyl but they didn't bother with the cover! (Of course it's on the 1976 London 45 as well)
  12. No I'm not Mark, I just found a pile of records I'd chucked out as junk and this is what was there, pure fluke!
  13. I know this was pressed on orange vinyl or red vinyl but I don't think it had a picture sleeve - is this one here legit do you think or was it pressed or reissued in this format? Apologies to anyone who was going to bid on it but so was I https://cgi.ebay.com/Willie-Mitchell-EP-Hi-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. I think a choon is related to tunage in some way, if it were acapella they'd be going round saying "songage" or "lyrix", and still thinking it made them sound cool.
  15. Yes I think that has a lot to do with it.
  16. Yes, primarily. Plus a few midtempos for the old people.
  17. I like Joan Osborne but this is a bit karaoke, as they might say on the X Factor
  18. Are you in Bananarama?
  19. That post totally defeats the idea of having an events lookbacks section if all you are allowed to do is say how great something is. If he feels it was below standard he should be allowed to say whatever he wants. Otherwise just close the forum down.

  25. But I've got some footage of the original singer (on that doo-wop show, taped about 5 years ago, I posted a few clips up) and he is introduced as Jay Black, he does Cara Mia and sommat else and he is the definitely the guy singing on the original records.
