Not sure if thats true MJ, about the slightest interruption affecting the upload - I must have posted up 250 mixes now and anytime it's failed has been my fault by accidentally leaving the page, no other reason, I can get a 2 hour mix up there in under 15 minutes so maybe it's to do with what you do it on and your ISP?

John Manship Auction Results 26 - 11 - 2014
Pete S replied to JOE TORQUAY's topic in Look At Your Box
I agree, he wouldn't do it, you can't bid on your own records to bump the price up. -
Thats three times Henry Boatwright has been mentioned in this thread and some records are forgotten for a reason!

Late 70's mate, there are two like that, the other has Skiing In The Snow with the Toys version of Whats Wrong on the other side. They are rare but I currently have both for sale for £15 or £20 each!

Tony Clarke - Landslide - Chess - Question About This One
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
When this was reissued on UK Chess it was in the stereo version, I just thought they'd used that recording on a very very good counterfeit. -

First Generation - Give Him Up - High Note - Offers
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Record Sales
You know I was saying I had this covered up years ago, well I found the review I did of it in Beatin' Rhythm Magazine , it's from Autumn 1995, I bought the record the year before (for the other side by Dave Barker): Sonya Kay & The Ebonies - Give Him Up (UK Black Cat test pressing) And if you believe that, you'll believe anything! A real grower from - wait for it - 1970 - yes, you heard correctly. This makes it a bit late for me and it falls into the style which could quite easily be described as crossover, but wait til you hear it. It begins with some Stax-style horn blasts at a slow to midtempo pace, and then in comes the young female vocalist pleading "Give him up, he don't deserve you", to which the backing singers respond in kind. Lovely harmonies on this record as well as great brasswork and a very tight rhythm section, it's sparse, mellow and totally groovy. Not yer typical Northern sound by a long chalk an interesting one and a very soulful sound. I defy anyone reading this magazine (remember this was written in 1995) to find out who it actually is before the next issue of the magazine comes out. I'll just give you one clue and tell you that it's on a UK reggae label. Four Stars. Now at £375 -

Only want £30 for this if someone wants to come and pick it up, I think they are still £70 or £80 in the shops though this guy on Amazon is trying to sell one for £300 for some reason... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-MG5250-All-In-One-Colour-Printer/dp/B00400OK20 https://www.canon.co.uk/Printers/Inkjet/PIXMA/PIXMA_MG5250/

Here it is, my old cover up, only the third one I've had in over 20 years and what a beauty as well, absolutely clean labels, and excellent condition vinyl. Up for serious offers or decent trades (not made up of small trades) cheers Pete
