  1. I think this is earlier than 75, seeing as I bought it on an emi that year, maybe 71/72?
  2. Absolutely no way should it have cue burn and if this wasn't mentioned you should ask for a refund. A VG+ record has been played a bit, might have the odd click here and there, but still play really well. Mine do anyway!
  3. I've been trying to sell a mint one on here for the last 3 weeks! (£25)
  4. Sure...

  7. The one I was selling is the same as the one described by John
  8. My little boy will do that for you for nothing if you take his Thunderbirds dvd off him
  9. Half the people reading the sales section don't actually read the small print, or sometimes the large print, especially when I put the message "SORRY NO TRADES OR OFFERS" and thats then followed by ten people asking me if I want to do trades or will take offers....
  10. Doesn't qualify as a proper sale on the open market then does it if he's reducing it for a mate. I sell loads of records cheap to people who buy off me all the time but nobody ever hears about them.
  11. Now sold, thanks for the interest
  12. As far as I know it's the september one Del, thats the one I regard as the last one also - felt exactly the same as you did.
  13. Sounds like that cack that Paul S posted up recently
  14. Yeah or the guy who sells Gwen Owens for £700 maybe?
  15. I wasn't really...was just winding Simsy up
  16. F*cking last time I listen to you then, I just sold it for £75 based on those prices
  17. there's a new ska/rocksteady/reggae mix up there, it's a live mix and features great tracks from 1961 to 1970, all from vinyl. 18. Blimey!
  19. Well I have a mate who was interested in it and I said maybe I;d let him have it before I listed it, if not I'll list it tomorrow I think
  20. Cheers Mark, I shall sit and ponder for a while
  21. Any opinions on what I should ask for an EX condition stock copy of Ray Pollard - It's A Sad Thing (USA copy)? I was thinking maybe £100, but seen "elsewhere" at £150, which I thought was a bit steep.
  22. It's all relative. This is probably the best copy ever offered for sale - anywhere. Plus it's previous owner was the person who recorded the record. It's mint. £700, you sure there wasn't another 0 on the end?
  23. It's never been that cheap - going back to when I first heard it almost 20 years ago it was over 200 quid. And this one - I doubt if there is a better copy anywhere, seriously. PLus the fact two people offered me £500 quid for it. It's a rare record.
  24. See I don't think it would be sh*t if we all liked the same thing, that way we could get rid of these horrible across the board nights you know what I was listening to a Wigan tape this afternoon, it was from late 79 and Richards spot was teetering between the brilliant and the downright horrendous, he'd play say Cecil Washington then follow it with some disco 12" that last 10 minutes, it seemed to me a deliberate attempt to split the scene, then a Minshull spot on another tape 6 months later saw him playing the same sort of thing. No wonder Wigan was empty for 2 years.
  25. Modern means different things to different people though Baz, obviously as you've described it it means relatively recent releases but to your average 60's northern soul afficionado it means anything that's not 60's. The word Modern isn't describing the music as being Modern, it's just a term that's stuck, like Northern. Hope that makes sense.
