I don't think the Carrolls on Polydor and the ones on CBS are the same group - I may be wrong.
  3. Yes it was definitely on a Soul Supply LP. Think I've only ever had this once, bought of Tim Ash in 99 for £200. Think I'd ask maybe £275 now. Great record.
  4. What Tony said.

  9. Rod, I should have added, yes you're right there are hundreds of better Northern Soul records than this, but as a record on it's own merits, it is brilliant.
  10. Discotheque was the name now given to "Clubs"
  11. Mick often plays it and now he also plays the instrumental version of it I dubbed for him
  12. Sorry Rod, there are not many better records than this, in any genre of music - possibly the most uplifting record I've ever heard. I could listen to it all day.
  13. If you could find out about Roy Roberts I would really appreciate it!
  14. I'm sure I remember this happening, or I've seen some film of it.
  15. No thats what shape it is, not what shape it's in. Where you been hiding anyway, you left your tape measure here mate
  16. They aren't counterfeits because there is no original to counterfeit - they are just pressings
  17. Yeah I know but I still think it's hard to make a bid on a record when you don't know it's exact condition. I wouldn't try and sell you a record without telling you what shape it was in.
  18. Woolie Mark, specialist subject - the bleedin' obvious.
  19. These people had the right idea... DISCO INFERNO: Thousands of people rush the field at Comiskey Park in Chicago during the infamous Disco Sucks Riot of July 12, 1979. More than 50,000 disco-hating fans had descended on the baseball park to watch several thousand disco records get blown up. Sadly, violence and destruction soon erupted.
  20. By me probably - I won one on friday, it'll be on me list next week (£40)
  21. I doubt he has, that list is 2 years old!
  22. You're probably thinking of O'Hara's Playboys who were also on Fontana. Manchesters Playboys only had one release on Fontana but 2 other tracks came out on a French Ep along with the 2 that came out over here. Loads of Playboys about in the 60's, all had to change their names...there was an Australian Playboys who had a very rare single on Immediate.
  23. If you say so. It's just that if I wanted to make some offers I'd adjust the price as to whether the record was mint, ex, or vg++ - makes a hell of a difference
  24. Thats no help whatsoever, VG++ is a used record and most people want EX/M, it only takes 10 minutes to grade records
  25. Yes they did, you could search for bidder but it would only show you auctions that had ended
