  1. Has The Embers on the other side, only seen this a couple of times before - licensed exclusively to Northern Soul Galore Productions
  2. Use a magnifiying glass and a scalpel to cut the scratch back into the groove. I've done this and it worked. But don't blame me if you slip!
  3. Depends how you are defining blue - the boots are kind of duck egg blue, well more like off white with a blue tint - the originals are light blue
  4. and the Moods as well mate
  5. Doesn't he want male/female not male/male? If so I nominate Ronnie & Robyn - As long as you love me.
  6. Did you read this thread Roger /index.p...c=58420&hl=
  7. It's Mark Loyd - When I'm Gonna Find Her - originally on UK Parlophone
  8. Not really released Shute, just on the demos...all issues have the correct title. Soz, don't mean to be picky
  9. There were 150 not 200. I made em so I should know. Sound was as good as we could get at the time. John took the lot off me after I sold about 30 copies on my mailing list. Because I was not allowed to sell them, I couldn't recoup nthe outlay and ended up getting sued by the guy who got them pressed for me. So if anyone ever thinks of doing a bootleg - just say no
  10. Reissue is off white
  11. OK -Australian 45! No UK release, definitely
  12. If that was the last track on cd 2, that was the best "Northern" track on there though the vocals weren't great. If it wasn't, it was rubbish
  13. No it's an LP track only
  14. Moldie see my previous reply, you are mistaken here I'm afraid.
  15. As the person responsible for these I can assure you there were not only 20 done, there were 150, but I never distributed them properly as Rob Thomas told me he owned the rights so rather than get into a fight I sold the lot to a dealer who sold them openly for £20 each.
  16. The sound you can hear is that of a f*cking big barrel being scraped, some tracks remained outtakes for a good reason and this double cd has around 40 of them. The good stuff could fit onto a 7" single. The rest is so sub standard that's it's quite embarrassing and the compiler should consider a career elsewhere. I'm pretty sure that this is the most inept and useless Motown compilation I've heard since The Temptations Perform The Hits of Joy Division. I paid something like £12 for this at HMV yesterday, if anyone wants it for a fiver and 50p post, please PM me.
  17. Nah original definitely green. Someone on here and myself bought the last remaining copies off the label owner last year.
  18. Sold a mint Victor Knight 2 weeks ago for £125. Sammy davis, no more than £30. First boot of Herbert Hunter is styrene, stick on label. Second is vinyl but has Heartbeat by Bill Pursell on B side.
  19. I got a bit of a pasting when I listed a mint copy of Gary Dean at - what was it, 400 or 500, anyway see that one on ebay last night - went for $1477! I thought my snipe bid of $377 might win it!
  20. I nominate Roger aka 45Cellar, the Look At Your Box section would be a shadow of itself without him and the hundreds of brilliant scans he puts up in answer to peoples queries, nobody ever really thanks him for doing all that research and work so I will - well done mate it is very much appreciated.
  21. Steve Plumb does, see thread elsewhere
  22. F*ck! I gave that away!
  23. Well I've only listened to disc one so far but apart from maybe 2 tracks, that lot should have been kept locked in the cellar and the key thrown away.
  24. It certainly is rare - I've not seen one for about 13 years - awful version though
  25. This version is said to be legendary...what as, worst cover version ever? https://cgi.ebay.com/BETTY-WILLIS-45-GONE-W...1QQcmdZViewItem
