Living Color - Gotta Strange Feeling - Madhatter
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
Yes it is mate. -
Boogaloo was too lazy to even grade his records, Oskar has described all of his even the labels, You shouldn't defend the indefenceable.
-
To be honest the Matrix number is irrelevant (and I haven't got one to hand) - just needs to have that Nashville matrix stamp. If it's got a triangle and a delta number, that's a 70's issue, and there's a vinyl boot as well.
-
Theres a couple of threads elsewhere about this. If it hasn't got a Nashville Matrix stamp in the run off, it's not an original. I sold an original 6 months ago for £1200. Boot worth 5 to 15 quid.

Friend of mine auctioned a complete run of these a couple of years ago, think they went for about £100. He copied the lot for me - which was nice. Ask £20 apiece for them maybe? -
Surprisingly not, despite the unusual surname we both share

I know, was eating me tea...

Never understood why anyone would pay more than 10 pence to hear this abomination of a record. They couldn't even tune the violin in properly. Almost as bad as The Carstairs, in fact, quite possibly worse.
-
Except for the out of tune girl backing singer(s) which ruin a perfect 10 and make it a 9.5
-
Chalky, didn't know you could speak Brummie
-
To The Ends Of The Earth is better than Paris Blues, and I love both of them
-
East Coast demo is same as the design for the issue but in grey, black and white. This got booted years after the White Demo was booted and caught a lot of people out when it first appeared. West Coast demo is the two shields design. Boot of that isn't stamped. Oh sorry, scans - no, ain't got none mate, soz!

What the f*ck has popsike got to do with anything and why do people keep quoting it as a reliable source for prices, that's what I want to know. It gives AUCTION results. I know how to value records without the help of auction results, and those auction results are the outcome of people bidding against one another, which means the price is usually false! This rant isn't aimed at you Ian, it's just that people seem to have lost the skill that used to be required to be a record seller, now they have their price guides and popsikes and ebays, before you had to have it "up here". Knowledge gained over years and years of experience buying, selling and looking at records on lists or at venues. It's all short cuts nowadays. And another thing. That popsike site does not collate all ebay auction results and most price guides are out on 80% of titles.

Did You Clench Your Fist And Say "geddin There You Beauty!"
Pete S replied to Koolkat's topic in All About the SOUL
What? I'd have thought you could have asked Freddie/Dave, surely he's a close personal friend of yours? -
I've got the one you want but I don't rate the Harry Starr as quite the same price
-
Really...hmm well I've had a few thousand 45's through my hands inthe last 10 years but only 2 of these so if you'd like to tell us of your magical source for copies I'm sure we'd all like to know
