  1. You can always watch my lists Chris, I sell that for £40, had 2 this year already.
  2. Thanks Ian. I'm positive some of this stuff will be of interest to someone. If I had somewhere to store them I'd go get the lot, as it is I only took 30 to start...Parliament, le Pamplemousse, first Prince single, Jackie Moore, David Fathead Newman, Idris Muhammed, China Burton, Don Ray, Sun, GQ, Willie Hutch, Carolyn Crawford, Silvetti, Archie Bell, Dexter Wansell, Joneses...can't remember any more without looking..
  3. Big deal, a scooter with some record labels owned by a bloke who probably never heard a Northern record til 1984, nice chap though he is.
  4. What you on about, I'm not a scooterist or never have been so why should I use the word 'us' or am I missing something here? Anyway I'm going to watch X Factor now...recorded
  5. What should I have said, "they"?
  6. Why, it was them who picked up on it
  7. I've got access to several hundred 12", mostly from the years 1976 to 79...these are nothing to do with those I mentioned a while back. They area mix of UK and USA and I know someare rare but I can't find out prices. For example, theres a UK 12"issue of Miroslav Vitous NewYork City, I thought it only ever came out as a US promo, loadsof early Salsoul etc. So does anyone know how I should go about pricing these?
  8. It's just a filler to my ears Ian, must be my age - probably played 20 seconds of the vocal when I first got therecord in the 70's then didn't hear it again til 84 ish...it's just a scooterist track
  9. The vocal ruins a good instrumental
  10. Ah ok, wasn't sure if it was some kind of giant horse
  11. Aren't they an old doo wop group. I mean a really old doo wop group - early 50's
  12. What, 30 or 350?
  13. Still think the vocal is a waste of time and the instrumental is one of the best records ever made...by the way on that green copy, there should be an X in the run off and it needs to be raised, you'll know what I mean when you see it.
  14. Jo the reason you got the artists mixed up on the Number One Station/Rock To The Beat or whatever it's called, it is by Dennis Alcapone but the UK Duke issue credits it to Hugh Roy.
  15. The Grapevine release is pretty worthless to be honest because they gave most copies away after it was withdrawn from sale, on a good day you can get £15 for it. I had a full set of Grapevines for sale last month, think I asked £350, they didn't sell. People ask ridiculous prices for the Lester Tipton single but it shouldn't really be more than £30, no matter how brilliant it and it's B side are.
  16. Was it at a mental hospital cos whoever paid that needs treatment
  17. Whats the point of quoting Manships mint prices when all your records are VG, don't get it. Oh never mind, I get it now.
  18. Were you there in it's heyday Chrissie...nothing like it before or since, especially the unmoderated free for alls
  19. Might havea lurk myself then!
  20. Are you still on KTF Chalky? Is anyone here? By gum back in 97 to say 2001, that was the best thing ever on the internet, still makes me laugh now thinking of some of the people and the topics.
  21. He used to be on KTF. His Da was 'Des Champ' who's name can be seen on a lot of Pye/Piccadilly records of the mid 60's
  22. Sometimes I juat can't believe what I see with my own eyes. I reckon this is at least £600 too much!
  23. Ray Pollard - It's A Sad Thing - listen to the instrumental break
  24. It'll probably still be here anyway!
