It was, in 1975, so much so that it got a UK release as well. Not sure why, always thought it was a bit lightweight.
-
It was. Odd thread this. Don't know whether to mention good forgotten sounds or bad ones!
-
You sure it's not Al Kent, cos thats what the chorus is...
-
Last plug for this before it disappears into oblivion. Have reduced a few of the higher priced records that remain.
-
The last three are awesome. Always thought that Lou Roberts was the worst of his three big records.
-
Terrible record
-
I only know it from Pep playing it at Wigan - this would be pre October 76, reason I remember this, our youth club always did a trip to the last night of Blackpool illuminations, and I bought this on the morning of the trip. Strange what we remember.
-
Most of the Allen Sisters are white labels don't remember seeing a proper one
-
Mine's for sale if anyone wants one!
-
Right in the run off, at 8 0 clock, scratched in catalogue number, at 5 0 clock, stamped in AUDIO LAB and to the right of that, scratched in RDA
-
Hold on I've got one of the pink ones somewhere
-
Okay I have used a magnifiying glass and although the print is way, way more defined than on that photo, it is the bootleg not the original, very very good stamp but not quite right

Detroit Experts - Opinion On This "unconfirmed 45"

Cheers, that old thread was very entertaining LOL -
ON that past article, there are photos of two Bell Sound stamps, the one on this one is 100% real

Nobody? -
I'd have to say he's wrong - it's a perfect Bell Sound stamp
-
I always thought that the vinyl copies of Voices Of East Harlem - Cashing In with the different label designs were bootlegs, but this one I've got has a very clear Bell Sound stamp in the run off - so are they real?

Very interested to find a price (or buyer) for this one, I know it's missing from most people's Ric Tic collections as they were all thought to be promos at one time, John's last book says 'unconfirmed' but there's one on Popsike from 4 years ago, VG, went for £160 or so...this one is mint.
-
Thanks Stu. I have the price guides but tend to take up to 50% off what they say in order to sell something! I nearly sold the Patten as a pressing until I looked properly!
-
Anyone know what the right price to ask for a Lee David issue is, I was thinking £225? Alexander Patten - A Lil Lovin Sometimes, stamped original - £200+??
-
I was going to ask for help pricing up some stuff but it's all done now so the list will be ready to send out tomorrow. If anyone wants it before then, PM me.
-
I'll repost this again later, the idea was to get them priced not make daft offers
