  1. I can't stand being called Peter and I can barely bring myself to say it when someone asks me my name. How f*cking weird is that?
  2. Correct. rare single too that is.
  3. Absolutely - did you ever hear "He's our dear old weatherman" by Mark Wirtz? Has all the grocer jack trademarks but a bit more of an edge to it as well as numerous weird special effects, a fabulous piece of late 60's psych/whimsy...
  4. Harry sorry but you're wrong, I'veseen the original press advertisement and it clearly states it's Sam Nesbit, the Crow wasn't even discovered for another 3 or 4 years after the 444 label was mooted
  5. Absolutely. Well 99%.
  6. It's a different group - The Crow I mean.

  10. Yeah but how many events do you see me at yet I'll still give you a run for your money on any given topic concerning NS and it's history (except modern)!
  11. I just find this an astonishing statement. Why do you think Kev Roberts has a limited knowledge of Northern Soul Paul, because he wrote about just 500 records? He's forgotten more thand you and I will ever know put together. And I've been doing it 33 years, don't know about you.
  12. It just used to be about dancing and enjoying yourself, not analising every record
  13. He did work with the Beatles pre Sergeant Pepper but he was working on the first Pink Floyd album by then and thinking "hmm this is easy why don't I put out a couple of crap singles in the early 70's"
  14. It used to just be about dancing...

  18. Quote direct from Andy: There was a cracked one on e-bay about a month or so ago ... Lew Stanley found a mint one some 8 years ago which he sold for a lot Irony is that the guy had 2 copies ... threw one away cos it looked a little worn and that copy is the one he gave to his mother to post .. straight in a jiffy bag & no cardboard !!!
