Well they aren't alone there then, I subscribed to Rare Soul Review and only ever received 2 editions, and there are currently several angry Manifesto subscribers on the site
VOICES INCORPORATED - THINKIN' - COLUMBIA DEMO
This is one of the best spins of the past 5 years and is currently massive...this copy is glossy but has one or two marks and the odd click so I'm grading it at a strong VG++, it'd make EX on a lot of lists. Plays great. £325
THE PARAKEETS - I WANT YOU RIGHT NOW - BIG TOP DEMO
Again, a few marks and the odd pop/click so under half price at VG++ £50
OSCAR TOLBERT - I CAN'T HANDLE IT - CHI LAND SOUL
This is in EX condition but I don't really know what it is to be honest or why it should book at £300...sounds crossover-ish to me.
I'll take the best offer over £75.
As I said before, I think it's a great book but the comment that was attributed to me about Barbara Mcnair's "Your gonna love my baby" was made up. Not a hanging offence but if I was gonna be quoted I'd have liked it to have been about one of my favourite records.
1) UK MGM £20 (demo £40)
2) UK Pye - not sure about priuce nowadays, when I last sold it it was £60, rare on issue, brilliant Brit-stomper (though he was American)
I was highlighting the rather strange sales tactics not the person selling the item and of course it will be construed as a personal attack on them, when it isn't, so I'll say nothing.
I'm amazed at the tactics employed here...if this person doesn't know the difference between a pressing and an original despite being a dealer for years then there's something up...and it ends with the pretty insulting "it's not a fortune is it?" well yeah it is if you pay £49 for a £5 pressing.

I had no idea about this, first time I've ever heard this story...thought it was the same vocalist. Amazing but obviously credible as Hendley was Diamond's best pal, according to the latters wife. Anyway, I prefer the "77" version..
I hate it when people come round my house to look at records, which are always filed alphabetically by artist, and they play them and put them back in the sleeves upside down and back to front. Bastards.
You know what I mean though. It was released due to Northern demand and because they couldn't find the tapes of the 1st version, it's not like it was issued as a new release in 77 with the charts in mind.
The 70's version is fantastic, there's not a lot of difference anyway, but it ain't worth more than £15! At the end of the day it's a reissue and was/is available in the same quantities as any other 70's pressing.
Not your record but this is what a proper World Artists 45 looks like below, and styrene/vinyl: styrene is brittle plastic and the label can be removed, vinyl is more flexible and the label is moulded in and can't be lifted.
