  4. Also the fact that one of the artists who appeared at a recent weekender was/is known wife beater, haven't seen that mentioned on here at all despite it being a well known 'fact'
  5. https://planetrecords.podbean.com/2007/12/1...reggae-1968-69/ In late 1967 / early 1968, the soulful sound of rocksteady gave way to the next phase in Jamaican music - the new uptempo sound which was to become known internationally as REGGAE. Here are some classic sounds from that early period, along with rarities which appeared during the following 12 months in early 1969. n.b. sorry about the siren noise at the start, that was a mistake! 7. It's only a case of listening, you all know what the difference is between rocksteady and reggae guys...the whole point of setting this up in sections was so that posts were puit in the right place. Thnaks for pointing it out Gordy, not had chance to come in here for ages.
  8. I'll take 200 on the Sandy Wynns to get shut of it
  9. SURELY NOBODY WOULD CONSIDER PAYING £90 FOR THAT? £9 MAYBE. Never mind if it's sh*t or not, it's actually only worth £25 anyway
  10. You know where I am if you want any of them Stuart I'd make exceptions for my best customers p.s. there was also a mint copy of Ska Au Go Go but with no sleeve!
  11. In that case, thanks for the information Tone, they are all now sold (not really but they'll be put away til after Xmas) I was guessing the prices...

  13. I'd say a little higher, £30.
  14. It's certainly a very rare album - I've had about 75% of all Pama LP's and I've never seen that. Unfortunately it's not collected as much as the reggae albums and I'd only rate it at £40 because of that...and the fact that their 45's are easy to pick up and not that collectable. Somebody trying to fill in the gaps of their Pama collection would probably pay more though.
  15. He bought a copy of Ann Sexton off me earlier this year
  16. Label scans added

  20. If anyone is interested I've chucked around 40 red and white Island label ska 45's up in my Ebay shop, most are in "G" condition and fillers but they did me ok and they are only a fiver apiece.. also there's another 100 or so Northern and Modern soul 45's up. I'm putting up more reggae and ska, higher priced items, this afternoon https://stores.ebay.co.uk/PETE-SMITHS-PLANE...Q3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm
  21. That looks real to me
  22. ME AND A LAD CALLED sTEVE EDWARDS WERE THE ONLY 2 GOING FROM WOLVERHAMPTON THIS ONE SATURDAY, I'D BEEN TO THE OLDIES THE NIGHT BEFORE, COME HOME, AND DECIDED TO GO BACK UP, ANYWAY WHEN WE GOT TO CREWE WE WERE TOLD WE DIDN'T HAVE TO CHANGE TRAIN, WE ENDED UP SPENDING THE ENTIRE NIGHT IN A SIDING SOMEWHERE NEAR PRESTON BECAUSE WE SHOULD HAVE CHANGED AT CREWE...
  23. The first Anderson brothers bootleg was definitely on vinyl. The vinyl was thick and as mentioned above, it had a dip just before the centre hole. A few records were done at the same time, Dave Newman springs to mind. The originals are thinner and have a less pronounced dip. The common boot is the styrene one.
  24. YEAH i CAN KEEP IT CHRIS, THATS ONE OF THE FEW BITS i HAVEN'T GOT DESPITE KNOWING ABOUT IT FOR YEARS. I COULD ALSO ADD IT TO THIS COMPILATION...WOULD BE GREAT
  25. No problem. "With sweet charm and gracEful style, a group of four unusual young ladies arise out of Chicago, Illinois, and bring to you the 'new sound' in the 'now time'...best described as THE ONCOMING TIMES". SIDE 1 FALL ALL OVER IN LOVE AGAIN YOU BRING OUT THE SWEETNESS THE ICE IS MELTING LOVE EXPLOSION THE SOLUTION SIDE 2 GOING OUT OF MY HEAD THE COWARDS WAY OUT OOH THATS LOVE TAKE ME BACK DON'T GO (I CAN'T BEAR TO BE ALONE)
